Amazing what can be achieved when you don't fall over.

Two of Melbourne's coaching staff entered the field of play to celebrate the goal in Extra time, one ends up slapping David Carney and the other grabs Carney around the throat. Both were given reds by the VAR, even though it happened right in front of the 4th official and linesman.

Surely lengthy bans for the 2 coaches and fines for the club?

Muscat says no ban. Just a bit of fun in the heat of the moment. They’re all friends etc. Arnold backs him up. Refs see nothing. Etc

Semi-exciting game played in front of a few people in Sydney.

Antonis gifts Sydney a lifeline own goal in the last ten seconds of injury time. Sydney were knocking on the door though, Warland could of scored twice in injury time.

Victory look wasted though, not sure how they are going to come out and score in Extra time.
Sounds exciting but I couldn’t watch. I dislike both clubs and a blue v blue match is unbearable to watch. Cmon Newcastle!!!!

Both coaches will see a lengthy ban. Entered the field of play and assaulted players. 4-8 week bans atleast surely. If our coach can get yellow for speaking german this is as bad as it gets

The big question is will FFA allow newcastle to play the grandfinal in newcastle?

Capacity is only 23k seated and 33 standing.

Course they will. Hosted at AAMI Park a few years back with 30k capacity.

There was no other option in that case.

It has happened before where the game has been dragged to allianz

It's already been announced as Newcastle I think. Plus the 2008 final was between two NSW teams.

Both got 4 weeks. Pretty light I think, weird situation.

4 weeks is weak. What did kosmina get for the muscat incident where he was inside his coaching area and was shoved off his chair?

Kossie got 4 weeks plus 2 additional weeks and a fine suspended.

I think this is a worse situation.

I haven't been able to watch all the finals but every game has seems very exciting. Great advertisement for finals football.
I love reading all the Sydney fans having a big whinge about the finals concept. Funny none of them felt that way last season! :D

Graham Arnold was the perfect fit for Sydney. A massive sook, leading a bunch of sooks, playing in front of a few sooks.

How much of an advantage do you think it is for the NSW teams playing the majority of their games within an hours drive of their home? I think I heard a commentator mention sometime this season that Sydney FC didn't have to travel for 5 weeks, that's pretty handy for recovery etc.
