Well CCM won the online poll. I think it was nothing more than a marketing stunt.was this a genuine thing where this kid picks a club? Or was it just a staged pre rehearsed advert?
I always considered it to be the latter and figured he would "choose " ccm or jets as they need the most positive publicity.
Ohwell seems to have got people interested so well done to the marketing team.

Such a small thing to get stuck on though, hopefully the bandwagoners can be converted into fans

Yeah this an Timmy is really all part of the same campaign to get existing football followers into the HAL, but sadly the entire campaign is centred around City.If it was a marketing stunt then the whole thing was just about pumping up city which is...interestingWell CCM won the online poll. But I guess they are pumping a significant amount of money into the game so maybe its justified?
My main concern is over the earlier years Sydney was club everyone was pumping up and ADP was un-touchable on the pitch. Where did that get them? This season they have only 1,700 more members than AU who is one of the weakest clubs financially in the HAL and a population base 4 times less.
I think the FFA would have got far more football people engaged by the HAL by putting this Yoshi and Timmy money into another HAL club. SMFC would bring between 5k-10k people into the HAL by being included. Will Yoshi and Timmy do that for City?

Sydney fc in cruise mode. When you have carney, dimitrejvic, ryall and janjetovic on the bench you have a very good squad.

This is how you do it...
https://www.theguardian.com/football/20 ... n-a-league
Brisbane Roar coach John Aloisi has called for the A-League to bring back retrospective punishment for acts of simulation. Throwing the issue into the spotlight ahead of Friday’s clash with Melbourne City – whose midfielder Neil Kilkenny has been roundly criticised this week for diving – Aloisi said there had to be a “strong stance” taken by Football Federation Australia to eradicate it.

He's not stupid.
It's interesting this whole Kilkeny situation.
I personally believe Isaias had no reason to put his hand in the other players face.
I thought he was gone with a second yellow or straight red.
But as I have mentioned before, it seems that "simulation" is a bigger offense down there than a two footed, studs up lunge from behind is.

Re: HAL season 2016/17 - Other matches
Violent Conduct is a red card. The definition of violent conduct in the laws of the game is,
Then there is the definition of simulation,
However you are right, there seems to be far too much attention on simulation rather than bad tackles.
So was the force used by Isaias negligible? My answer is yes, it was meant to annoy but did not have force behind it. So that being the case, no card. The same with Kilkenny rubbing Isaias' hair, both we annoyances rather than violent conduct.Violent conduct
Violent conduct is when a player uses or attempts to use excessive force or
brutality against an opponent when not challenging for the ball, or against a
team-mate, team official, match official, spectator or any other person,
regardless of whether contact is made.
In addition, a player who, when not challenging for the ball, deliberately strikes
an opponent or any other person on the head or face with the hand or arm, is
guilty of violent conduct unless the force used was negligible.
Then there is the definition of simulation,
Clearly what Kilkenny did in falling the the ground holding his face was simulation and simulation is an offence that is punished by a caution/ yellow card.Simulation
An action which creates a wrong/false impression that something has occurred
when it has not (see also deceive); committed by a player to gain an unfair
advantage
However you are right, there seems to be far too much attention on simulation rather than bad tackles.

If we cant win trophies this season then please please please let it be anyone else but city. I know we dont swear much on here but I think I'd rather see MV or SFC win trophies this season than MCY.

Brisbane Roar 1-0 Melbourne City
It looks like the MC players "put their trousers on the same way as everyone else, one leg at a time".
(Old Austrian saying )
20 odd thousand spectators by the way, not bad.
