It may be a result of the fact that the FFA are soley in charge of the finals, not the clubs, and this includes security and checking for flares etc. As such the clubs can reasonably claim a lower level of responsibility for the finals in relation to their fan base.

So it is David Gallop who should be fined, thank you for clearing that up.

Clubs should charge the FFA for consultation if the FFA asks for their help on fan issues. At least that way they'd see some money out of the match.

Although I feel with the club complaining about getting nothing for winning the comp. Any increased sponsorship and membership next season could be tied to the fact they won the comp it could be argued.

Only Sydney FC Members and players’ families of both teams will be granted access to this weekend’s NPL Derby after Sydney FC made the decision to restrict entry to this match.

Interesting. Obviously WSW and their fans are up in arms. But I doubt FNSW could supply the amount of security required so it makes sense.
This match has trouble written all over it.

Cant believe each club has 3 teams including a senior team. Sucks to be us

FFSA don't seem to be competent at all.

I wouldn't lay all the blame at the FFSA's feet for AU only having one side.

I have heard that the club wanted the FFSA to help fund them. Like the NTC I imagine. My guess is that the club still have to choose what areas to place their limited funds.

The strange welcome to Western Sydney Wanderers’ new home
http://www.foxsports.com.au/football/a- ... 6cc109ad01

And the moaning about the new stadium has started.

I have a mate who works for the stadium and he said they need around 16.5k as a break even crowd number. I was shocked by that figure.

I wonder why Campbelltown or Penrith Stadiums not being used, seemed a better fit size wise. But it is Sydney so maybe the locations weren't great.

Sydney Olympic Park is a better to access as far as Sydney is concerned (meaning there actually is PT to games). Although Campbelltown has decent PT as well, but I reckon it's easier to have all the games in the same precinct so fans won't have to re-plan getting to every home game.

It looks bloody impressive.
Who would have thought 5 years ago WSW would have not only achieved what they have but would have a 30k stadium built arguably due entirely to their existence and success.
