Same old, same old...
http://www.news.com.au/sport/football/s ... 7593513510A LEADING senator has attacked the “anti-wog” attitude of NSW Police in its controls on the Wanderers fans, claiming their tactics would exacerbate the problems at games rather than solving them.
After hearing evidence at a Senate inquiry from police, fans, councillors and the club itself, Senator David Leyonhjelm said the committee he chairs would issue a report calling on the police to learn lessons from football policing in Europe, and not “make the problem worse”.

Strange how this didn't make the 7 news....
Imagine if that was after a football game. They'd call for the HAL to be disbanded.
Half the stories about this are just laughing it off.

Not only that but the attitude of the article is "big police officer gets pushed over by dainty lady" turning it into a bit of a joke.
If it was a male pushing a female officer over into a bush it would be all about womens rights and how violent men are.
There are so many different ways this would have been reported if it was at different sporting events, ethnicity of those involved, gender etc.

Apparently the lady claimed that the news reporters told her to push the man. Obviously stupid of her to follow through but did anyone think it was convenient they had a camera set up perfectly for the incident? Not like it was on CCTV or anything but a full blown TV camera.

The Police Association of New South Wales has called for David Leyonhjelm to be sacked from a parliamentary committee into law enforcement after the Liberal Democrat senator criticised police for their treatment of football fans.

There is a comment if you scroll down from a person called "mindinsomnia" that is pretty spot on.

People say anything while being arrested.Apparently the lady claimed that the news reporters told her to push the man. Obviously stupid of her to follow through but did anyone think it was convenient they had a camera set up perfectly for the incident? Not like it was on CCTV or anything but a full blown TV camera.

So many mistakes from the top two teams. Pretty drab game for the neutral. How many fouls has Brosque commited tonight? Ive seen 4 already and I only started watching at half time.
Brosque should have been sent off. I saw 2 of his professional fouls go unpunished.
We are UNITED, after all....

I think its also interesting with the rugby world cup how the flash mob hakas have been reported, or lack there of.Strange how this didn't make the 7 news....
Imagine if that was after a football game. They'd call for the HAL to be disbanded.
Half the stories about this are just laughing it off.
Essentially a bunch of new zealanders sometimes up to a few hundred gathering in a public area and doing the haka out of nowhere. I think its freaking awsome.
But no different to football fans chanting in rundle mall pre game or adam goodes throwing an air spear after a goal, but the world seems to implode after these things.

My god, watching Sydney saps the will to live. Arnold's CCM played an ugly type of anti-football, but he's taken it to a whole new level at Sydney.

I saw this post and thought "fair assessment of last nights game"... But it was posted weeks ago.My god, watching Sydney saps the will to live. Arnold's CCM played an ugly type of anti-football, but he's taken it to a whole new level at Sydney.
Can literally roll out the same comment for every SFC game it seems lol.
