PFA and FFA

Postby blahblah Wed Aug 12, 2015 1:43 pm

http://www.theage.com.au/sport/soccer/f ... ix8x6.html

The article has a quote from the PFA site claiming that the FFA will no longer be recognising the PFA as of Friday. This doesn't add up so I will wait until the FFA respond to the claim.

Smells like a beat-up following the announcement of the changes to the salary cap allegedly without PFA consultation, however is indicative of the nature of the relationship between the two bodies.

......and it appears that the FFA are a bit surprised by this announcement; which in of itself is of little surprise.

It will be interesting to see how this continues. I think everyone on here knows my opinion of the PFA.

It's still rumbling on...

Geez the PFA are their own worst enemy here. Maybe if you're trying to prove a point that you deserve a pay rise, don't skip visiting school kids to highlight it.

They said they're doing all the community appearances. This is what I was trying to point out in the last thread, the FFA are controlling the narrative and misrepresenting things.

Football Australia ✔ @FFA
Ange Postecoglou has retracted comments he made yesterday about the negotiations over the CBA
@BDjite
Ange forced by @FFA to retract yesterday's comments is pointless IMO. At least we all know Ange's true thoughts. The man just wants to coach
All I need is some tasty waves, a cool buzz, and I'm fine.

Some players are getting screwed by the PFA. Lisa De Vanna has vowed to tour the US despite the pfa calling for them to boycott. Good girl. Just play the game you love and try work it out. Dont screw some players and fans and sponsors. Know where you bread is buttered and realise you have a job so many would kill to have.

Disappointing for all involved. I still dont quite understand what the PFA are fighting for? Is it higher minimum wage for women footballers?
