Certainly the quotes I saw from Castro for his acceptance speech at the Glory awards night sounded like he wasn't coming back.

As for city, I don't really get their strategy either. I don't blame them for Kamau though. I think there's more to be frustrated at Kamau for than City!

I think city's strangest move has been signing Manny Muscat, does he have dual citizenship? I think he's from Malta so does he count as a visa player?

Edit- I just checked, he was born and raised in Melbourne to Maltese parents.

This. He has like one good match a season, the the rest of the time he is a hack. What compelled City to sign him confuses me. Good for the Nix tho, they can finally move on to someone better.

I know Manny played in the All Stars squad as a "coaches selection" from Gomby.

Perhaps Gomby is going to City after all...

I have wondered the exact same thing. Petrillo goes over, sets it all up, cherry picks a couple of players that JG wants at city. Who knows.

Although that may have been to ensure every club was represented so ensure interest from everyone.

At the time, we were also playing Welly in the FFA Cup so needed to weaken their squad :)

Kenny Lowe gets the axe.

Every coach that did not make the finals has been fired or quit.

Surely the league is Perth's to lose now. After the away win to Victory they look nigh on unstoppable. Brisbane and Wanderers over the next two match days are unlikely to ruffle their feathers. Victory are away to 'Nix then have the local derby so are at real risk of falling further off the pace. Sydney host Mariners but then are away to the 'Nix (after which they get beaten at home by a rampant Adelaide United).

I can see Perth being a good 10 points clear of second by the time Round 21 kicks off.

I can see them doing well in the ACL. There's no team in the AFC with as much travelling experience as Perth Glory FC.
