Perth Glory

http://www.smh.com.au/sport/soccer/pert ... mgz0r.html

After telling their members earlier this year everything was legit...

Suddenly davies is released to malaysia and mitch Nichols released from his loan.

Players taking pay cuts just to help the team fall under the cap.

Kick them out of the finals already!!

Lets not forget how they moaned about the "fairness" of the ffa cup final being played at hindy

This is becoming clive palmer like...

Glory now claiming nicholls release was due to disipline issues, Nicholls camp refutes this.

Interestingly we are reportedly interested in him

Honestly would be a great pickup to supplement our midfield.

I always bag him but he is a good player at A-League level.

Ugh. Mitch Nicholls is a player I love to hate. I guess I could live with it as long as we dont pick up Leigh Broxham too :s

Yeah he seems like a d-bag. Good player but.

Also, I'd be pissed if Glory get away with releasing players to avoid going over the cap. They've had them at their full disposal all year so to me this is still breaching the cap.

It will be a joke if Perth are allowed to get under the salary cap now and escape punishment. They need to have points docked, perhaps all of them. They gained an unfair advantage in every game of the year so far by cheating.

Yup

They would not be releasing players if they were not found out so they are still guilty as sin imo

Although taking a number of key players away from them at the business end of the season would be a hefty blow I would think.
But yeah surely points needs to be their true punishment.

FFA announcement at 2:30 (Adelaide time) this afternoon.
All I need is some tasty waves, a cool buzz, and I'm fine.

The integrity of the HAL is an important thing to me, but in this situation I really have my red glasses on and I just hope this decision benefits AU! :D

Perth and the salary cap

Postby EdDog Fri Apr 10, 2015 11:15 am

I've been impressed with how quickly this process has been dealt with. Props to the FFA.

I agree with you Stuckey. The salary cap is critical to this league and if they've messed with it then throw the book at them IMO.

Gallop took a pretty hard nosed approach to the Storm(?) in the Rugby so he has good form.

@Gatty54: Expect worse case scenario for Glory.

@DavePSI: @Gatty54 you think it will be enough to push them out of the 6?

@Gatty54: @DavePSI yes

Wish they were coming back to hindmarsh this season.

A simple chant of cheat cheat cheat cheat for 90 minutes would have been great
