Read more at http://www.fourfourtwo.com/au/news/pfa- ... gmJ8yQG.99The Professional Footballers Australia has confirmed its opposition to any reduction in the number of visa players at A-League clubs for next season.
All this does is confirm that the PFA care about nothing more then money and their members, and not the game itself.
How can the Professional Footballers Australia rather see foreign players take the spots of Australian footballers?
To see this quota cut wouldn't IMO hurt the quality of the HAL as the foreign players on average earn more then the average HAL player anyway so this would force HAL clubs to chase after Australian players that are looking to earn a similar amount and are probably doing so overseas. Those sort of players are generally fringe and young Socceroos like: Amini, Bozanic, Halloran, Rogic, Taggart, Troisi and Vidosic. To see players like this back in the HAL would be a boost to the HAL for sure IMO.
Damn straight.Given the FFA’s intent of developing homegrown talent, there was some confusion on the PFA’s position.
