Something like 25k at the Juve v Victory game last night.

We thought 25k was quiet at AO - imagine that figure at The 'G.

Pathetically poor organising.

Crowds are seriously going to be down compared to the last tournament like this. I've been getting emails every week with new discounts for tickets.
I think the organisers are crazy if they think people will pay the same for Tottenham, Athletico and Victory as they would for Real and Man City.

Id like to have a weak moment and take a swipe at victorys fans but it would be unfair.

Any high profile friendly us a cash grab but still serves a good purpose. But this little tournament really treats aussie fans like rubbish.

Are the games played on a surface promoting good football? No, last year the mcg got a big thumbs down.

Is the stadium itself actually football friendly? No. Unless its packed with 100k. Really needs to be at docklands with the seats puched in.

Do ticket prices match that of the talent on the pitch? ...i would think even most juve fans would not know half of the players who took the pitch.....although i do wonder how many juve fans are actually juve fans and not just 2nd generation aussie italians who think juventus is an actually city but thats another story.

Villareal was possibly one of the best friendlies id been to. Given the price, the stadium and that the players were just there to put on a show. Probably would have been better if it was preseason though as villareal were clearly hung over lol

“We need to be clear that a recurrence of the incident where flares are ignited in the Melbourne Victory fans area may leave FFA with no alternative other than to deduct points from the club.”
Melbourne Victory has accepted this decision and will not be appealing.

May not as well if the soft policing of WSW is anything to go by.

Continuing on from my conspiracy theory that Carrusca is not that badly injured, he was snapped training on the AU Facebook page today.

Haven't seen him for weeks and as soon as another foreigner is injured, he's magically better.

Cirio doesn't have an 8-10 week injury - my bet is he'll be back sooner. But now he can be the injured player for Choi.

Edit - this is tongue-in-cheek but please allow me this one. You have to admit it's quite coincidental.

So victory sign i very promising winger with bundesliga experience but already have troisi, fbk and rojas.

I wonder if fbk or rojas are on the outer ?

I doubt Rojas is. He's been scoring pretty regularly so far. I wonder if they are planning on using FBK elsewhere maybe in a more central midfield role.

Melbourne Victory says it is disappointed at the club’s supporter group North Terrace's decision to “cease the co-ordination of organised support indefinitely” ahead of tonight’s crunch FFA Cup semi-final showdown with derby rivals City.

So it appears to be about NT not being able to act how they like and get away with it.

I thought NT were actually a reasonable group but were victimised by casuals who caused trouble and the authorities took a zero tolerance approach.

I really have no idea what the details are though

Another game another 5 plus yellow cards. Will they ever get pulled up for excessive fouls
