I'll be interested to see how Huge goes in this game. He seemed really slow and clumsy at times against Malaga.

I wouldn't hate the All Stars game and concept so much if it was actually at the end of the season... ADP isn't even a player in our league anymore!

Italian champion Juventus has landed in Sydney for the second leg of its Asia/Australia pre-season tour and while tens of thousands of tickets have been sold for Sunday's meeting with the A-League All Stars I'm yet to be convinced of the concept's long-term benefit for Australian football.

Very good opinion piece from Scott McIntyre, using his vast Asian football knowledge to forecast what the future holds for this 'marquee' matches.

So with Josep coaching the side. If they are humiliated is this cause for concern for AU this season?

No, why should it?
I just thought it may expose chinks in his armour that other HAL coaches could cotton on to possibly?

Not so sure Gombau can do that much with a squad thats been together for all of a week who do not really care for the result of the game with up to 11 subs to be made.

Not to mention the small ask of playing against Pirlo, Pogba, Teves, Chiellini and Vidal.

Its probably win/win for Gombau, if he gets hammered then meh he can still put on his CV that he was selected to manage a representative squad, if he wins then he helped an A-league side play good football and win against Juve.

Gotta love channel 7 commentators talk about champion players and their legacies when you cant help but wonder if they even knew who said player was yesterday .....cringe factor.

Credit where its due though there are some football personalities in there to mix it up.
