Melbourne City

Postby Stuckey Thu Jun 05, 2014 11:38 am

MELBOURNE City is born.

It is 133 days since Manchester City rocked the Australian football landscape by announcing its $11 million takeover of Melbourne Heart. Finally, the club is now beginning to take shape.

Heart is no longer, and as expected, the club has officially been rebranded as Melbourne City as of Thursday morning.

City’s new home kit will encompass red and black stripes and will look strikingly similar to the away kit worn by its parent club, the English Premier League champions.

So instead of wearing Sydney's kit they'll wear WSW's instead. That makes sense!

They have cows and sheep in Melbourne.
And ships and whales also.

And a cross of St.George and a big fat crown.

As you can see in the twitter box. Frank Lampard is apparently going to do a David Villa and join City for a 10 week stint.

Wowzers!

Villa, Lampard, Duff and still 2 marquee's available which they will surely fill.

So thats 5 marquee quality players and only one is inside the cap.

Excited to see the quality this will bring to the league but as i said before this will be the death of the salary cap.

How many "guest" players can you have at once?
