well MVFC fans seem to have ruined it for everyone. this will ruin the active support in the league.
Another overkill though from police.
This must be an attempt to distract people from the assault at the MCG the other week that finally hit the papers

Re: The End Of General Admission
500 fans in an area for 150. So why aren't stadium management getting dragged over the coals. Aren't they supposed to be controlling this. Clearly they must be too busy so how now are they going to find time to check every fans ticket?
IMO the ticketing issue isn't a massive one but using three fans and incompetent management staff as an excuse is pretty lame.
I wouldn't be surprised if its a ploy to get more classes of seating meaning more money.

I understand the concern of 500 people so crammed, but how can you police it? and police it without fans reacting in a bad way? so the hill at AO will be scrutinised the same way?

Once there is plans to get rid of it we will start to hear issues like this. I truly believe it will be gone in 10 years.I understand the concern of 500 people so crammed, but how can you police it? and police it without fans reacting in a bad way? so the hill at AO will be scrutinised the same way?

Re: The End Of General Admission
I assume if you buy a season ticket you can pick your spot, and the club should keep a part as active support area, as they already do. That would keep the active fans together.
should have a disclaimer when purchasing active area tickets that you will be subjected to overzealous security and policing, and assumed to be a criminal element.

WTF?
Are the soccer fans the only "anti-socials" down there?

Re: The End Of General Admission
I am not sure that this would be pushed by the police service in SA, or Hindmarsh stadium management either for that matter. General Admission hasn't been an area of real concern in Adelaide.

Different stadiums different rules.
We could get kicked out for taking off our shirts in the stands, the nux fans do it on mass in the 80th minute.
