Great to see clubs given this. Certainly allows them time to develop themselves with a more long term future in mind.Football Federation Australia (FFA) has today taken a decision to extend the licences of the nine Australian clubs in the Hyundai A-League until 2034.
The current licences of the clubs had an existing term running until 2020.
FFA CEO David Gallop said the licence extension to 2034 would provide the clubs with long-term certainty for their planning and investment.

Its a little bit moot though as the league has shown already that they can rescind those licences at any time!

I don't think its to do with that though. Its more to do with the FFA giving the owners a vote of confidence that things aren't going to change for them anytime soon. Sure if anyone does a Clive they will lose their licence. Its a little bit moot though as the league has shown already that they can rescind those licences at any time!

North Queensland could have used that long term certainty when looking for investors a few years ago
