Next years Grand Final to break 1million viewers says Gallop

Postby waggzzz3 Tue Apr 23, 2013 1:49 pm

"Going forward, we add free-to-air coverage through SBS next season, which will lift our television audiences and general interest in the competition. It’s foreseeable that we will have over a million viewers of our grand final next season," Gallop said.

Its a very likely thing. I think ignoring AUFC's reputation at the moment football is on the up and up. With Man Utd and Liverpool coming to playing over the winter hopefully that, Socceroo games and the NPL will be enough to keep the round ball rolling till next HAL season.

I assume with the success of WSW maybe they think that this will translate into increased crowds/viewers/interest especially in the nations "real" capital.

Maybe this may bring about the promotion and relegation system quicker, and get rid of the low crowd, poorly run under performers like Welly and AU.

To be replaced by a Bankstown Rovers and Lakemba Albion!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They say if you hang around long enough everything comes round again, well welcome to the NSL with all its Sydney sides.
