We aren't bribing them enough.

How on earth is Qatar so high?

The AFC are on some serious crack.

To be fair excluding AU the HAL's form in the ACL is poor, Many of these higher rated countries have 2nd divisions we have 9 clubs, many have cup comps we don't, none have clubs from other confederations we do. The HAL has improved dramatically in the last few seasons but we clearly still have a long way to go.

Yes and also have more players then they have fans.

It seems they are also trying to change the visa rule to 3+3 . Clearly to aid the petro leagues

It's been clear for a while what is required.
FFA is going to have to comply sooner or later.

That Cup competition has been a long time coming.

QFT

Qatar has a 12 team League with a Population roughly equaling Brisbane....

AFC = Corrupt.
No doubt if we If we make up the 30 points we were allegedly deficient on they'll create another arbitrary benchmark

Question is: can football afford more incidents like the morons at Sydney Craysha in the WSW pre-season game this year? I say until we can be sure they'll comply by acceptable behaviour standards we should hold off on the FFA Cup.
IMO We could ensure compliance by making the prize-money for advancement through the rounds high enough that the mere threat of expulsion from the comp brings them into line. This is why I don't think the FFA cup should be rushed just to get our ACL slots back.

To my understanding if the club loses in a qualifying playoff they dont fall down to the afc cup like adelaide were threatened with . This would have. Been a disaster financially.

Not the end of the world but does show where we sit in the afc politically

So if Brissy and CCM get the spots does that mean the first two in the league get the ACL spots and not who makes the GF? Makes it interesting that the relevance of the GF has been deminished. As a football fan I'm much more of a fan of a focus on winning the league as the be all end all, but we need GF's to keep the armchair crowd in. Hopefully this is where the FFA see the FFA Cup must come in to replace the GF.

ACL spots have always been 1 for the grand final winner and 1 to first place at the end of the regular season. So theres no need to purge all interest in the league for no grand final purity.

I don't think they are holding back a national cup competition because of a few stupid people.
Lets face it, violence and anti social behavior are not exclusive to football supporters.
