Still IMO would rather see cash like that go to youth development but its not my money.

What a fucking signing that would be. Have just been reading the Sydney forum and apparently they should have an answer today. It's between them and a few big Euro clubs, but I'd imagine ADP has nothing left to prove in Europe and the opportunity to make a big impact to football in Australia must be tempting.

Anyway, can you imagine how epic the New Years Eve match v Sydney would be at Hindmarsh if Del Piero was playing???

This would be good but someone said on 442 that he's been offered 6 or 8 mil from an MLS club and he turned it down.

Thought Sydney were using the Aussie lifestyle rather than the coin to persuade him because 2mil is a big pay cut if that offer above is what Sydney is competing with.

Well, the MLS club was supposedly LA. I can't imagine he would turn down $8m to come to Sydney for a quarter of that. If lifestyle was the drawcard then he would have gone to Galaxy.

All of a sudden the the game seems alive and well in sydney.

Its only a 6 months contract according to wikipedia but it may aswell be a one year contract as it covers the whole season.

Its not as if he has be playing is lower leagues around the world recently either, Well done Sydney

easy to pay up when foxtel and hyundai are the ones forking out the cash...bet they would never do that for any other team other than wsw
