Just read some articles from his press conference.

He seems to have the perfect personality that the australian public can respond to, and it seems he is happy to be here not just to win games but to grow the game here.

He talks with a passion about the game and "waking up" the australian migrants. He just makes you feel all warm and fuzzy that this italian guy (at least ) appears to want to leave a lasting legacy here in australia.

Now compare this to harry kewells time in the aleague or other socceroos who could offer similar impact in their home country and suddenly the warm fuzzy feeling stops!

Have to say its ironic that one of those "dirty filthy cheating italians" from the 06 WC that we all cursed is here getting his hands dirty but our golden boys are ...... hmmm where the bloody hell are they ?

I agree with you Shin, but I think before we give him all the credit, we should wait until he has delivered on his promises.

Coming here in itself is one of the steps towards achieving that.

completely agree,

but compare this to when harry first arrived , i feel both players had very different attitudes and reasons for playing here, lets hope he performs and stays injury free

True - this already has a better feeling to it.

ADP had offers for much more money and at a higher level. So it seems as he really is here to invest in Aussie football.
Which is great.
