I don't doubt that at all. Hopefully they will take it slow like Melb Heart are doing slowly building the club up. Both on and off the pitch. As for players I'm not sure but I just hope they don't dilute the HAL talent pool by just taking players from existing clubs, either bring in o/s talent or promote talented youth. So far bringing in Mooy and (hopefully Neill) prove that they are so far doing the right thing by the HAL.Who cars about this lot, just another piranha in the tank.
Does'nt matter who they get as players they will get a free ride from the FFA and there paid lackeys the refs.
I expect they will finish in the top 4 in their first season.
The FFA want this lot to be a success and have a lot of dollars riding on it, so expect the armchair ride and some the dodgiest decisions you have ever seen next season

This is a different situation to the Heart.
If you believe the press etc, this is the apocalyptic battle of the codes in the mythic heartland of sport in Australia the winner will be the heir this El dorado like fortune and sporting dominance unseen before or since in this onece great nation.
So the narative goes and who gets first success will will hold all the cards.
We have already seen the AFL give GWS the best young players in the country. Rugby is fighting back as this has been part of it territory, so the A league has to go one better and that can only be on field success (at all costs)

GCU did very well in their first season. Maybe the same can apply to WSW; here's hoping they last longer than three seasons..

Re: West Sydney FC
Personally I put a lot of that success down to Jason Culina. If WSW can pick up someone of his quality that IMO could be all the difference between 7th or 3rd.GCU did very well in their first season. Maybe the same can apply to WSW; here's hoping they last longer than three seasons..
