As I said in a previous post "to lose one billionare is unfortunate to lose two is just careless".
Makes you wonder if and when Perth gets knocked out of the finals will Sage also pull out?.
Or will the FFA engineer an upset GF win for Perth to keep the last remaining rich bastard happy. (its been done before just look at our treatment in finals)

This billionaire/rich bastard ownership has proved to be what it was always going to be in Australia, a abject failure.

Buckley has done the job for the AFL and white anted football in Australia. I'm sure there will be calls for an enquiry into the misallocation of Govt funding of Soccer and the result will put the final nail in the game in this country.

What does this tell you about how the FFA is running the league?
Considering that the CEO of the FFA funded Central Coast was the only club offical to come out and praise the committee the FFA are clearly (and as per usual) spending more time spinning their own crap and patting themselves on the back then actually tackling the issues reeking havoc on our game. Today IMO is as bad as the feeling i felt after AUFC lost 3-0 at home to 10 man Gold Coast. Buckley F*&king Out!

THE Northern NSW Football board will meet tonight amid calls from state league coaches for the Jets youth team to be removed from the competition immediately.
Hunter Sports Group remains committed to fielding a youth team in the state league.

But rival coaches believe the side’s inclusion is now pointless and that they should be withdrawn to avoid a messy exit later in the season.

The Jets entered the state league this season and played their first match on Friday, defeating Valentine Phoenix 1-0 at Cahill Oval.

Wow I didn't even know they had a side in the local league. That is a story in itself!
I think just because this path way has atm been taken away, doesn't mean they have to get rid of the local side. I think other clubs might be a little scared that HSG are investing $1M per season on a local side!

I love how the FFA can play the victim in this when everyone knows something stunk worse then a week old prawn salad.
Now we know, the owners begged the FFA not to rush West Syd and they didn't in spite of that.

No wonder the clubs are pissed off.
They have to take more losses and hope Buckley can deliver a reasonable TV deal while the league crumbles around them.

At the meeting with FFA, owners and CEOs were presented another new financial model, which informed them that the combined losses of the clubs in 2011-12 would be around $27 million; and they could expect the same again in 2012-13, until the new broadcast rights deal comes into effect from 1 July 2013. They were also advised that the $250,000 each that clubs were expecting out of their share of the windfall on the sale of Brisbane Roar to the Indonesian Bakrie Group would not be paid because FFA required the $2.25 million to fund the legal case being brought against it by PFA and HSG.

To be fair majority of the clubs have backed western sydney for next year, and the ffa has a contract with fox for atleast a 10 club league, what exactly are they supposed to do.

All during a time we are negotiating a new tv deal that will pay every clubs wage bill.

The fact that fox soccer in the us brought the rights for another 3 years is a great sign.

So with all that in mind i think ffa for now atleast are doing what needs to be done

Power is now with the owners!!!!!

The owners seem fairly united in their demands, FFA has buckled to HSG and the FFA know they need to keep the clubs onside or they will begin to support palmers cause.

May this be a new start ? Or have we heard it all before?

Well we've only heard from Lowy on this. Maybe we should wait till we hear how Tinkler thought the meeting went before singing everyones praises.

With more than 10,000 Jets members and an average crowd this season over 12,000 HSG has demonstrated its ability to engage with the community and to run a successful team and club

So according to FFA losing millions every season is considered success? Oh dear!
