No idea, probably after they arrange sufficient alcohol and darts.

apparently brisbane memberships have been offered with the first game starting october the 8th.

So that may atleast be an indication of when the season is starting.

If we dont then some serious questions have to be asked IMO.

These games are big money spinners, its not fair one club gets most of them.

On the other hand, if melbourne had 2 AU fixtures at AAMI park id very happily attend both and be content with our one home game, IMO most diehards probably would feel the same

Maybe it means I'm not a diehard but I can't really justify interstate away trips (although this year I will try to get to Melbourne at some stage). Pretty sure the majority of fans would prefer fixtures that distribute home/away matches fairly across the seasons..

some more info

The midweek games were good for tv, but drew small attendances so this is probably a good idea.

I wonder where our regional game will be? Port Lincoln PLEASE!

In principal I don't mind that the midweek games drew such poor crowds - I think people made too much of that. I remember reading once that originally when the NFL introduced Monday night football it generally drew poor crowds but excellent TV viewership. Same can be said for the NRL presently.

But its understandable that the clubs would want to do away with it if its costing them money. Unless the FFA or Foxtel could subsidise costs then it makes sense to scrap the concept. Glad they're sticking with it for the holiday period though.

Port Augusta? Only an hour away from both Whyalla & Port Pirie, and those 3 towns are all decent size, probably 50k people between the 3 of them

Darwin and alice sprimga alternating every year.

I like it.

I would travel to this fixture every year, i think in alice springs their stadium is 5k capacoty , id hope they bring in temporary seating.

Would be a great chance for travelling au fans to show the nt a form of support they have never seen.
