Brisbane Draw with Central Coast

Postby supsup Wed Jan 12, 2011 11:10 pm

Is this the best possible result for us?

Does it mean we can hope Brisbane draw/lose their last 5 and we win all of them and overtake them? :D

Does it keep CC at bay a little too?

I have no idea. Indulge me.

would have much rathered a Brisbane win, i don't see a point hanging onto any hope of 1st place.

CCM are right on our tail, and we must win every game to be certain we'll take 2nd. altho every match is important at this stage, the match against CCM MUST be 3 points.

Central Coast are 3 points behind with 2 games in hand, so its going to be very close right up to the end.

Having them draw was certainly better than them getting the 3 points! The game against them is massive in terms of final positions but they have a fairly tough run home. As well as playing us here they travel to play Perth, Melb Heart and Gold Coast. They host Sydney and have two derby games against Newcastle. Its easy to imagine them dropping some points along the way there, so if we can capitalise on our run of home games we are a huge chance for 2nd spot
We didn't underestimate them. They were just a lot better than we thought. - Sir Bobby Robson

Brisbane are not travelling to well just quietly.

only one win from their past 5.

from the games i have seen of late there were times when AU and glory had their measure.

but then how can you call it a form slump when they havnt lost ... grrr

brisbane aint winning but they aint losing either, thats been our problem. The games we haven't won we have lost instead of drawing.

yeah from memory brisbane have played an extra game then us and have only won 1 more game. but its their ability to get a single point when all else fails that has seen them put a gap on us

i didn't get the chance to watch the match last night, but a side that can put 3 goals past Brisbane worries me :s i'm not so certain they'll drop points, but at the same time i'm not at all certain that they'll take them all.

guess i'm just a nervous as shit AU fan lol

A lot needs to go right for us to finish top. BR, GCU & CCM all need to lose of draw certain games and we need to win every game for it to happen.

It's in our own hands. We have 4 games at home out of 5 remaining - 1 of them against CCM so if we win them all we're fine.
