Re: Suncorp under water.
You couldn't see the pitch being available for some time, could you? Apparently the rooms underneath are trashed, so the FFA might have to make a decision here. With the end of the season almost upon us, instead of postponing matches, Brisbane playing their remaining home matches at their opponent's ground seems inevitable, for the time being?
Edit: Maybe Skilled Park an alternative?

Re: Suncorp under water.
Makes sense and probably could be a good move for Brissy, they have been getting around 12,000 to their last few games. Playing it in Skilled with a capacity of around 28,000 would give their fans some long awaited atmosphere!

they might use Ballymore if it's ok and not being used for disaster relief.

Re: Suncorp under water.
Would be hilarious if the Roar could get higher gates at GC's ground than the home team does... only problem, it ain't in Brisbane (tho only 45 mins or so down the road)
Otherwise you've got Ballymore (24k - perfect) or the Gabba (42k - saw Olympic football there in 2000 and the viewing is not too bad, certainly no worse than Adelaide Oval) - depends on availability and $ I guess.
Also Perry Park which only holds 5k but was the home of the Strikers & is the spiritual home of football in the state - would be cheap as chips to shift games there and a nice stroll down nostalgia lane!

I heard the GABBA is being considered.they might use Ballymore if it's ok and not being used for disaster relief.
Good to see Football return there considering the reason they got in upgraded it in the first place was for the Olympic Football and a round ball hasn't been kicked there since.
But it will be interesting how the atmosphere will be like there at 42,000 i can't imagine it being very good

Re: Suncorp under water.
would be shithouse with the roar's usual 10k crowd but would be rocking in a grand final!
(would be a massive shame if Suncorp is unavailable the year Brisbane host the GF)

Re: Suncorp under water.
Why didn't Brissy play there from the get go?Ballymore (24k - perfect)
Instead of hoping they could fill Suncorp?

Re: Suncorp under water.
i did hear Ballymore was underwater but then also that it wasn't as it had been sandbagged and was fine.
The only thing is that wether it's accesible or not.

Re: Suncorp under water.
They should play next game at the Gabba and open the gates for a community good time after the flood.
