Williams has done reasonable well in Hungary, 20 goals in 66 matches. Nicholls is a very good A-league player but his personal baggage could be a problem.
A front three of Krishna, Burns and Williams with Nicholls in behind them could be quite good. Durante and Taylor could be a good CB partnership, but around that it is quite a bit lacking.

Welly have often had decent squads but have failed to make their home a fortress, something that is crucial for far-flung teams for whom every away game is an odyssey. Playing at the Cake Tin has been their biggest conundrum.

CCM loan out Daniel Da Silva to Sydney FC.

This is the first ever loan between HAL clubs and is currently only available for U23 players. The rule was announced yesterday, a step in the right direction IMO.

Although my tin foil hat is telling me that this rule has only come in because Sydney FC needed it to, like the Tim Cahill season long guest rule or the Archie Thompson loyalty player rule.

Interesting. It has happened suspiciously fast.

To true make the most of loans there is a need for a 2nd division.

I'm a fan of it if it provides young players more chance to feature more in the starting XI. So if we look at this deal I'd say that's probably unlikely. If the move was to occur in the opposite direction I'd be a fan of it.
But in general allowing loans isn't really going to be of massive benefit to many. The real issue is that there just isn't enough games offered to developing players. The NYL is a token effort. The game needs more clubs, more games and a better link between the HAL and the NPL.

Rumours of Aiden O'Neill to CCM on loan from Burnley. Interesting move, CCM are lacking in the midfield so I would expect he would get quite a bit of game time.

Maybe that's why the Da Silva move occurred to make room for him?
Would be exciting to see him play here. Almost a full season last year in League One at 19 is promising.
