In most other leagues around the World, there are always teams for the Capital City so I dont see why we shouldn't have a Canberra team..
Fuck Off Melbourne.

We will get a WS team eventually, maybe would have had one next season if the FFA hadn't awarded the sole negotiating rights to the Rovers bid.

Same with Canberra, it will happen sooner or later when the money is there.
The FFA is gonna be alot more dilligent with it's expansion teams imo following the hassles with the current ones.

The Canberra bid should have been accepted over any of the 2nd Sydney bids - it was a step back in time when the Rovers 'bid' got accepted.

I am very happy the plug has been finally pulled on them, now I am only worried that the FFA may do the same thing to NQF...

Bosnich alluded on Foxsports FC last night that there might be something in the pipeline...

It was a fairly obtuse reference but it wouldn't surprise me if someone managed to pull something together in time for next season. They'd have to get a wriggle on though.

If the Lucas Neill bid gets its act together they could do it, but I wont hold my breath.

Canberra being over looked was a travesty when they had $4.5million in pledged support at the time their bid was ignored.
