17,000 gone now.

Weather up here is terrible at the moment though and there's storms forecast for Sunday too.

I wonder if Adelaide United did the same thing at AAMI stadium what kind of crowd we would get?

Not me, I hate that stadium... though saying that I do love AUFC and that pull may just get me there by the skin of my teeth.

And it gets called of after 18 odd mins for bad weather and water on the pitch. About 10,000 turned up in horrid weather.

Kind of feel sorry for GCU to have that happen to them, but then I think about fatso Palmer and his arrogance.. Karma?

How is it karma?

Its reported that without the crowd caps it cost palmer an extra $150 000 a match for the extra transport and all the other services that go with opening the full stadium,

Those who like to have a shot at palmer, ask yourself how would you feel losing just $150 everytime AU played a home game, oh it would burn right?

The reality is Palmer never stopped people from coming in the gates, it was just stated that if the crowd was below 5k only one stand would be open, he then even opening up one isle for the beach to sit behind the goals.

From what ive heard they do public appearances on a daily basis. He has also bankrolled one of the best lists in the country not to mention bringing home a star socceroo still in his prime,

Sure, some of his comments have been a little out there,

But how can we expect these cashed up people to come into this league and support the game when its clear alot of people look for any excuse not to come and then dwell on it.

Sydney FC, Goldcoast = plastic terrible fans

AU, MV = best fans in the league.

End of rant:)

Karma in the way of boasting how they would not lose a game on the way to winning the league in their first season and trying to look like the new 'bling' club by getting flown around in his personal jet etc. How would you feel if our new owners decided to act like that? It would make me cringe.

The idea of free entry is a good one, but it is a little too late I think. It should have been tried in their first season. I don't want to see any team fold, but you can't help but feel this club may be cursed.

Real shame. Given how bad the weather was up here yesterday (and it was bloody awful) I'm impressed that over 10k went.

wow, this is brilliant. hopefully they'll sell it out, i think they will at least get close. another interesting chapter in the NQF/GCU relationship.
So the only way the fury can try and get numbers is now through charity. The fans and club have done nothing but have their hand out for money ever since it started.

didn't think anyone hated the Fury up until now... i firmly believe they are a club that has a bright future if it gets assistance.

disappointing that tickettek are being knobs. surely they can spare some change for the booking fees.

Clive Palmer had a good point tonight about pitch maintenance.
