What result will we be happy with in NZ

Postby redhorse Sun Nov 28, 2010 6:13 pm

So with the game this weekend coming up against the nix, will we be happy to settle for a draw or is a win the good call.

Personally any time you play the nix at home a draw can be seen as a good result.

???

It's in Christchurch, Sydney won there last season and the Phoenix's "home" form has sort of deserted them. So you should be confident of winning.

Always confident of a win, just being modest. If i see another Flores through ball like the one against GC, Im likely to have his babies....

I would be confident of a victory. The Nix are always tough to beat at home but their form has been average of late and we are back to our best form. 2-1 to us.

We're more than capable of beating them. If we don't I'll be very disappointed.

A draw will be a good result and normally i would be happy with that. However i feel that given our form a win may be on the cards which will be a great result before our flurry of home games.

Sydney beat the Nix at Palmerston North. The game in Christchurch was against us.

Will be very happy with a draw on Sunday

At minimum getting a draw will be acceptable, WP are a tough ask over there - the time difference is quite a factor which always seems to be missed.

I tend to agree that I'd be satisfied with a draw. I'll be happy with a win however I won't be locking myself in the bathroom for a good sulk if we come away with a point.

A win in NZ followed by two very winnable games at home against Fury and Heart would be a great outcome.
Our decent home run could be diminished by the games at Adelaide Oval and no real advantage, so banking as many points as possible is imperative.

We've got to go into every game wishing and expecting to win, if we are serious contenders for the A-League we can't accept anything else before the game is played. It's alright after a game to say OK, 1-1 that was a good result against [top team] away. But if we don't go into games looking and expecting to win, we won't win.

A win would be great and would raise our confidence for our next game V the Fury, which hopefully is a walk in the park (hopefully).
