Newcastle smash Victory - the upsets in this league just keep on coming.
And Sydney draw with WSW.
Just need Macarthur & Western to draw tomorrow and it’s a perfect run of results.

We know it's bad but ...

Macarthur’s bid for an A-League Men finals berth has been dealt a hammer blow, with captain Valere Germain citing Australian refereeing standards as reason to terminate his contract.

Glad he's gone before we play them again. The sort of player you hate playing against you, but love if he's in your team. Skilful. Natural striker. Unselfish in front of goal. Absolute master of the dark arts.

Sydney lucky to escape with a 2-2 draw against Auckland. Plenty of action in a fiery game.

I’m getting a bit over excited here, with Sydney trailing Newcastle 1-2 at half time. It would open the door to the top 6 for us a little.

Sydney give a massive forearm to the back of the Newcastle defender, Sydney score. Referee sees nothing. VAR bottles it. Should have been a Newcastle free kick, but we have to have Sydney in the finals don’t we.

Two Newcastle counterattacks have gone close(ish).
Come on Newcastle.

And Newcastle give it away. An unnecessary turnover in midfield & Sydney are clinical.

Sydney are certainly the masters of time wasting.
I guess leading 3-2 in the 90th minute it’s not unexpected.

Newcastle have fashioned some real chances & a couple of corners in time added on.
