Re: Adelaide United v Sydney FC Match Day Jamboree!!!©

On form tonight on this forum: "Matmour doesn't give us enough." " What's the point of Matmour." "Adling's crossing hasn't been good enough." "Kitto has been excellent." Matmour and Adlung substituted. "Kurz has no idea. Why did he take off our best two creative players." Then we get: "We can't sco...

Be a shame to take Kitto out of the attack when he's in such great form.

Re: Preview: AUFC v Sydney 1.12.17

Odd move to make to drop Warland. Inexperienced LB & RB in Strain and (presumably) Ochieng, plus Gulum still (for me) underdone and an injury risk, and no central defender on the bench.

Re: Preview: AUFC v Sydney 1.12.17

Love to see a Sydney throw in where the ball boy waits till the Sydney player approaches and then turns around and throws the ball into the crowd. Only has to happen once, right near the start of the game when it won't have an impact on the outcome. Just done slowly and obviously and deliberately.

Re: Sydney FC v Adelaide United FFA Cup Final Match Day Jamboree!!!©

It's not as clear cut as "not moving your hand towards the ball - a otherwise a defender can just spread their arms like a goalkeeper as they go in for a blocking tackle - don't move your arm towards the ball, just make sure it's stuck out sideways in case the ball might accidentally hit it and be d...

Re: Melbourne City

I think you've forgotten how good Fornaroli is. He could just about win it for them on his own.

Re: Sydney FC v Adelaide United FFA Cup Final Match Day Jamboree!!!©

What happened to supsup between when we equalised and when Sydney went ahead again. One minute he's slagging off our players for being sh!t, the next minute he's gone? I was looking forward to his astute commentary on our equaliser.

Re: Injury Replacements

Mind you, if we could trust that Baba would stay fit all season, then I'd take Cahill over Blackwood every day of the week. (Sorry George.)

Re: Injury Replacements

At AU he'd be in the same position as at MC. A dangerous option who'd be good to have available - but no longer a guaranteed starter week in week out - more an impact player off the bench.

Re: CC Mariners v Adelaide United Match Day Jamboree!!!©

Fair enough Rojas, I take back the troll comment. However, those were two well taken goals. A b.s. goal would be a defender kicking it into someone's backside and rebounding in, or a poor backpass that gets cut out, or a miss hit shot that deflects past a keeper who has it covered. A 30 yard screame...

Re: The Road to Russia 2018

That's the sort of misplaced sense of self importance that is exactly the problem. "Look at me, I'm a commentator and I'm going to rip into the coach and pretend I know better than him. (Even though I don't have the balls to try and be a coach myself.)"

Re: CC Mariners v Adelaide United Match Day Jamboree!!!©

Great performance (except for the wasteful finishing). Mileusnic, Blackwood and Matmour would have been having nightmares if we hadn't won that. Defence looked so much more composed with Gulum there. Matmour had his best game for us so far, but still obviously not fully fit for Aussie conditions. Is...

Fair call. I may be overstating it.
