Those Thursday In and Outs put out by the league are garbage. I wouldn't put much faith in them ever.

Re: The "B League"? - Australian 2nd Division.
Nice idea but I really can't see it being viable. NSL v 2.0 Australia is not Europe, football is not the dominating number one sport here (sadly) there is a lot of competition for limited sponsorship dollars, the population is small, distances are huge, the media is not interested at best, hostile a...

Re: #valsaid
It really bugs me that Val uses the word "axed" in relation to Carrusca and the ACL, when in fact he should say "not selected". They are not the same thing. Also if Carrusca had been selected and Cirio (for arguments sake) left out, Val would be writing article after article about Cirio and how hard...

Is this the end of the beginning, or the beginning of the end? Only time will tell.

Re: HAL Expansion
I don't think that would work. If, for arguments sake, a second Adelaide side was "split" from United, would you follow them? There is a story on the World game website saying that Red Bull were interested in starting a side in Australia, or buying an existing side. How would people feel about Unite...

Re: 2017 Asian Champions League
Well said Shin. Its not just that their better players are playing in their leagues but also the fact that the teams are more stable and are not changing half their players every year or two - this is a huge benefit for team cohesion and effectiveness as a unit. No way is our side in the ACL the sam...

Re: RE: Re: Adelaide United v Gamba Osaka ACL Match Day Jamboree!!!©
Tips for first timers to ACL football. 1. Celebrate an AU goal like it's their last. It might well be. 2. Diving, there WILL be diving. 3. The best two and a half words we can say post game when discussing AU's performance. "Smash'n'grab". 4. Someone will get carried off on a stretcher only to make...

So lets see if the monkeys running the circus have learnt and sign McGree up for 3 years with a proper buy out clause.... Absolutely. Three years minimum. If we are going to be a club that exists only to develop young players, as some on here seem to want, then it has to be made profitable. The pla...

Re: Adelaide United - General Issues and Discussion
I don't think what you have done is the best scenario as far as points goes. My way of thinking about is that, 1. We need to win every game. 2. We cannot catch Sydney even if we win every game and they lose every game so it is best for us that they win every game except against us. 3. We cannot cat...
