Re: Adelaide United v WS Wanderers Match Day Jamboree!!!©

Early days for Palanca I know but cant help but think we would have been better hanging onto Fabs for the rest of this season. To me Palanca lacks the pace to go around defenders. Often slows the play down to a stop and defenders just stand him up or make him hit a cross under pressure. Wiling to gi...

Ha. Val retweeting this piece of 'journalism' about what a massive mistake it was to release FF http://outside90.com/adelaide-united-will-live-to-regret-parting-ways-with-fabio-ferreira-113/ (comfortably ignoring the fact that his replacement has a much better pedigree and has been targeted for a l...

Re: Newcastle Jets v Adelaide United Match Day Jamboree!!!©

Ferreira out for a couple of weeks with a hamstring injury. Guess that's the reason why he was subbed off at HT! And this is why Josep doesn't like starting him. He can't run out of sight without straining something let alone 90 minutes Which is why I was scratching my head at his comments about no...

Re: Preview: Newcastle v AUFC 19-12-14

I personally think we will struggle on Friday night. The boys and all involved with the club really enjoyed Tuesday night and rightly so. There will be a huge challenge to get themselves up emotionally with such a short turn around. Our only saving grace is that Newcastle have been so poor that even...

Re: Interest in Malik from Belgium & Switzerland

If Ossie goes anywhere it will be to Europe. Injuries may hinder this move but if he can get himself right I am sure clubs will come knocking, good move for the Reds to sign him long term to lock in any transfer funds from a future move.

Re: Cassio

Spot on. If he gets himself as fit as everyone else and EARNs his spot then he will get it. If you come on here and say you want us to win silverware then dont also say you want us to gift games to players for a feel good factor. Its a long season, injuries and suspension will create a chance and i...

Re: Cassio

Im happy to leave it in cassios hands. If he wants a proper goodbye he needs to get fit and work hard on the track, we have a very very good team this year and i think its unfair anyone else gets dropped. Spot on. If he gets himself as fit as everyone else and EARNs his spot then he will get it. If...

Re: Adelaide United v Western Sydney Match Day Jamboree!!!©

Weird dynamic between Ferreira and Gombau at the sub. Mabil on.
Flecha was very dirty about being on the bench last week. To be fair given his injury trouble Josep is right to bring him off early.

Fabs has a real battle on his hands for his spot and I dont think he likes it.

Re: Castle Plaza Tavern

Email was clearly written by the Chairman. I agree it is very poor and went places it didnt need too.
TBH I was surprised it lasted as long as it did. I thought the AEC would have shut it down earlier.

Re: Melbourne Victory v Adelaide United matchday jamboree©

Mabil is oh so frustrating. So many attacks break down because he just drills the ball into the box without looking, usually there are 2 defenders that gladly accept the ball and the attack is finished. Shit night, 2 own goals, 1 disallowed and Malik injured, what can you do? This is football.. Awe...

Re: Melbourne Victory v Adelaide United matchday jamboree©

Spot on Ed. We didnt handle the press from the fast Victory attacking players and made costly errors. I dont think we handled the intimidating atmosphere either, we were rattled early. In saying that Victory clearly tired in the second half due to the high intensity press and we just didnt take our ...

Re: Gombau till 2017-

I dont think Josep will jump ship to go to Asia. I think he would prefer to stay here and have sustained success then move to Europe. If he goes to Japan its another 2-4 year process depending on how quickly the players adapt to his style. If he can win us the league then back it up next year he wil...

Re: Preview: CCM v AUFC

In recent weeks we've created so many chances but have failed to make the most of them, today we've hardly looked threatening and scored 2 in a half lol

Let's finish the job now.

Re: FFA Cup Final AU - Perth 16th Dec

FFA take the gate and effectively run the game. The club only get to sell a hand full of corporate boxes so hosting the final isn't a big money spinner for the club but certainly a huge advantage for the team on the field!

Full house with a finals type atmosphere will be amazing! COYR
