Re: Adelaide United v Sydney FC FFA Cup Day Jamboree!!!©
Wound up at McDonald's in Enfield some time after the match. Waited for my order, and look up to see George Mells in there. Was with his parents. His dad spotted me in my gear and spoke to me. Turns out, he's currently being tracked by Sparta Rotterdam and Feyenoord. Got offers from them both but t...

Re: Who's signed for next season
Great news for the Awer and the club however I can assure you a large portion (probably all) will go into paying bills!

Re: Awer Mabil
Awer is a fantastic young man. He has seen some things in his life that most of us could never comprehend.
He is a cocky little bugger but you need to be if you want to make it to the top! He also knows how hard he needs to work to get where he wants to go.

Of course it would be a good look but needs to be for the right reasons and an unwavering commitment. Unfortunately thats not what the Chairman sees it as

Re: Lady Reds
Griffin up to his usual tricks. He 'diverted' funds to the Lady Reds because he wanted to take control again as he thought it would help bring in sponsors for AU. Now that its time to pay the bills he cries that its unfair.

Re: AUFC 2015 State League Season
Sounds like Cobras well and truly parked the bus late on so would have been a very tense end to the game. I don't mind it. We all scream out for the killer instinct and here we have the young lads of the club developing a never say die attitude.

Re: AU made Gerrard offer
Lets remember these quotes were from Greg Griffin. The bloke is a compulsive liar!
Anyone can say we offered $4m for something worth double that. We probably put in a $4m offer for Messi too.

Re: Have we gone as far as we can under Gombau?
There are other factors to consider. When you compare a club like City with us you need to look deeper than the 11 v 11. On Friday they opened a $15m state of the art training facility. We hire a pitch from a semi professional local club. When City have an injury they sign a replacent player who is ...

Re: New rectangular stadium in Adelaide?
Don't forget Adelaide Shores From what I remember that fell through because the synthetic pitch was hard as rock, and Australian pitches are hard enough. But the base at Ridley reserve will have 4 pitches, 3 grass and 1 synthetic I believe. It was supposed to be a full facility not just 1 synthetic...

Re: New rectangular stadium in Adelaide?
With any announcement made by the club on development of a training base I would take this with a pinch of salt! There have been many false dawns in the past and we shouldn't see it as a done deal just yet.
Will be great if it happens but lets wait and see.

Re: Preview: City v AU 27-2-15
What are people thoughts on who to start between Awer and Palanca? I think having Awer off the bench is great at home because he lifts not only the players but the crowd when he comes on. Being away from home this week I don't think we want to cough up another slow first half and open the door for C...
