Re: New rectangular stadium in Adelaide?

Yes, I too wondered about the official attendance. I had bought my tickets well in advance, but had friends from Melbourne wanting tickets at the last minute. When I checked the Ticketek website on Wednesday afternoon, the two away bays were sold out. So then I checked to find any available seats. W...

Re: FFA CUP FINAL! Adelaide United v Melbourne City 2019/2020

Congratulations Adelaide United. Fantastic win. After returning home, I watched the game and post game show that I had recorded on Fox. For once, we even had Andrew Harper and Robbie Slater actually give the credit the club deserves. Tara Rushton, Robbie Slater and Andrew Harper actually concluded t...

Re: Who's signed for next season

Apparently, the club has now fulfilled the minimum number (20) of players on a senior contract with this signing of Chen. However, what is the maximum number of players allowed in every A-League squad? It used to be be 23. The A-League clubs can now have 7 on the bench, so can United sign any more p...

Re: New rectangular stadium in Adelaide?

That is an excellent suggestion "blahblah." I would also like to see the latest technology to make it a truly multipurpose stadium. Things like retractable seating, retractable roof and a retractable grass pitch. It means that it can be used for sport and indoor activities like concerts and be able ...

Re: Adelaide United v Sydney FC Match Day Jamboree!!!©

We showed that we can beat Melbourne City with Jamie McClaren in Melbourne during the preseason. I acknowledge that they are a very good team this year under their new French coach. They, too will challenge for honours at the end of the season.

Re: Adelaide United v Sydney FC Match Day Jamboree!!!©

Well done to all of you that have commented on this forum. It makes a pleasant change from the negativity usually written on social media. Yes, I loved the free flowing attacking style introduced by Verbeek. We created plenty of chances, especially in the first half and were a little unlucky not to ...

Re: Who's signed for next season

EdDog, FIrstly, Bruce Djite has already dismissed the report saying that United are offering Margush for Brandon Wilson. There is no swap happening. He described it as "fake news." Secondly, I raised the proposition that United should move for Matt Spiranovic as Perth have seemingly replaced him wit...

Re: Major Sponsor

What a relief! I welcome United's announcement today that Flinders University will be the front of shirt sponsor (Premier Partner). This type of sponsorship opens up a range of possibilities for the club ranging from the use of the university's sports science program, football fields and an opportun...

Re: Who's signed for next season

I know Bruce has doused this fire but I can’t believe no one has put this one out there.....Osama Malik Is a current Perth DM that first the Bruce signing strategy to a tee and fits the narrative best.....your not following the Val crumbs guys. I’ll pass though! Not overly keen on any of Perth’s DM...

Re: Who's signed for next season

Perth Glory seem to have replaced Matt Spiranovic. I was just reading a preview of PG's season and it actually stated that he has been replaced. They have signed Swiss defender, Gregory Wuthrich to replace Spiranovic. If Spiranovic is indeed available, Adelaide United should jump at the chance to s...

So pleased that Djite has tweeted that the report about a possible swap of Margush for Perth's Brandon Wilson is fake news.

Re: Who's signed for next season

Doesn't sound like we are finished in our hunt for a DM: Adelaide United are reportedly in talks with Perth Glory for a deal that may involve swapping Australian U-23 keeper Daniel Margush for a Glory holding midfielder before the A-League transfer window closes on Oct 15. Margush, 21, has made sev...

Re: Major Sponsor

I was disappointed to see that BHP is sponsoring Perth Glory and not Adelaide United. I have always privately thought that "The Big Australian" should sponsor United as they have a major commitment to Olympic Dam in South Australia. I realise Western Australia has extensive mining interests, but Oly...

Re: James Troisi

Pros: threat going forward Cons: not a CDM, poor work rate, reported attitude issue, not much of a team player, has pushed Konst and other kids further down the line, If McGree gets pushed more defensively it's also a con as we lose McGree's forward threat. Agree. Plus he's a mercenary and will jum...
