Re: Adelaide United v Melbourne Victory Match Day Jamboree!!![emoji2398]

As for Bruce, I think he'll rue the day. His free market, neo-lib ideals won't run far in this town, he was better suited to running a football club. I reckon we'll see him preselected for the Libs one of these days. A sorry end you would currently wish on no man. They are a rabble. Maybe Bru...

Re: Adelaide United v Melbourne Victory Match Day Jamboree!!!©

Unfortunately we look like a team on the decline with no investment likely incoming. Older players are all looking like they are declining (isa, Juande, javi), kids generally look not ready and should be learning in the npl or cameo players at best ( madanha looks ready ), CB has never looked more ...

Re: Adelaide United v Melbourne Victory Match Day Jamboree!!!©

A draw was probably fair in the end, both teams had some good moments, the football was ok with a fairly high tempo. - Alagich gives us as much as Clough, I'm not sure a player has frustrated me more than Clough - Makeshift back 4 looked just that - Borders aside, Irankunda could do with a loan in Q...

Re: Adelaide United v Melbourne Victory Match Day Jamboree!!!©

Someone on the backline, though, has to take Popovic in hand and start coaching him during the live match, or he will revert to knocking it back to Joe Gauci every time the ball comes near him, which just invites the press and even more pressure. Javi Lopez is named in the squad, but I'm not sure t...

Re: Who's signed for next season

For a team that was praised for blooding youngsters we had only Popa, Gauci and Madanha out there tonight (the latter only in due to Lopez being injured). Disappointing shift in focus from the club as it seemed to be working well for us in seasons past. CCM on the other hand have taken our formula ...

Re: Nix v Adelaide United Match Day Jamboree!!!©

Pretty mixed game and didn't deserve the points. Goodwin had flashes, I'm honestly surprised he is playing with his injuries, I thought he'd sit out 2022 being two away trips. Popovic inconsistent but you expect that at his age, couldn't work out what he was doing on the first goal. Halloran seemed ...

Nix v Adelaide United Match Day Jamboree!!!©

What does it tell you that an hour out from kick off we've no preview, no jamboree and from what I can tell almost no update from the club in social media.

I believe the Nix active support shuts down after 20mins and they'll take a casual seat amongst the AU fans.

Tough to get enthused for it.

Re: World Cup Watch - AU Represents

2nd division or more teams means more opportunities. Archie Thompson started at Morwell, Zelic at Canberra, Chippers & Sterjovski at Gong and so on. Look at what CCM have provided to the Socceroos this last decade. The NSL had either 2 conferences or >14 teams most of the time. You need some clubs o...

Re: World Cup Watch - AU Represents

I thought McGree might break out this WC, so far he's not there.

Goody however, etching his name in to our best of all time. Great lad too.

Re: Coopers Stadium

Hotels, cafes, shops etc bundled in with stadiums has been fairly commonplace is Europe. Slowly you can see it happening in Adelaide with the Adelaide Oval hotel and the facilities at Alberton. It really only stacks up for us if it was a city venue, ideally shared with the 36ers, maybe lightning and...
