Re: Who's signed for next season

Mauk off to Japan now it looks like! Never against players moving on like Mauk or Halloran, but the club has really placed itself in a corner as far as replacements being on hand. This is the exactly scenario I feared would occur when they released Al Hassan. Maybe the club can finally sign a replac...

Re: Adelaide United - General Issues and Discussion

If the club's being sold then I guess it depends on who its being sold to. I don't like that we don't know who the owners are and how they make their money but there's been many positives: No Drama with every stupid thing being played out in the media A commitment to SA players in the squad, more t...

Re: China's plan for football domination could transform the HAL

Interesting it appears to be a lot of the clubs who have splashed the cash significantly over the last decade that appear to be on the shakiest ground.

AU's sister club Qingdao in CSL 2 could see some promotion if the big boys at the top keep falling!

Re: 2022 World Cup Qualifiers - Socceroos

Pretty unlucky to come away with nothing. A draw would have been a fair result IMO. I think the only area of disappointment is the lack of fitness we're been able to get into Mooy. I think a fully fit Mooy could have been the difference. I wonder why he wasn't given more game time against Oman to b...

Re: Josh Cavallo

Amazing to read that he is the only professional player in the world currently playing who is openly gay. Amazingly brave that he is open to coming out with this level of exposure. Congrats to Josh, I hope this is a weight of his shoulders. I hope he is the first of many that now feel free enough to...

Re: Who's signed for next season

I think the main issue. Is that AHT has already proven in his first season he's certainly at the very least A-League standard. Personally I think we need to look at why the club doesn't think they can get him back to the level he's already displayed he can. This move IMO is more a reflection on the ...

Re: Who's signed for next season

I can't believe this. Sure he's had a tough run with injuries last year. But how can anyone who's seen what he's capable of not believe he's capable of achieving this sort of form again. Extremely sad to see him go. I really hope the club is made to seriously regret this appalling decision. Yet anot...

Re: WATRs Greatest AU Side

That was fun :D Can we do a worst 11 now ? Haha I think an XI of players we remember for reasons besides quality football would be interesting! My pleasure all! Thanks for taking part! Happy for this is be a bit of a ongoing thing, I tried to include current players as much as possible in the scena...

Re: 2022 World Cup Qualifiers - Socceroos

Is it just me or is it amazing that we've only lost 8 competitive games since the 2014 WC. Germany and France are 2 sides that have beat us as well. Its pretty amazing what Ange created and Arnie is now continuing. Bring on Japan hopefully their woes continue but I'd be overjoyed with a draw to keep...

Re: Mohamed Toure- best 60 young players ...

I have no doubt the club would be working on signing him on a senior deal. I'll be very disappointed if he leaves before that.
