Re: Have we lost the city?

+1 to everything Shano said. The recent fan event that was organised by the fans (well really, one hardworking and passionate fan) was met with a complete lack of support from the club. The management of this club is completely beyond Glenn Elliot. He couldn't even manage to promote this event and g...

Re: A-League All Stars: Who'd you pick from AU?

The way I see it - all the eastern teams will be way over represented so we should be just as biased in our selections to counteract that.

Won't the East Asian Cup be played at the same time as this, meaning Galekovic, Ryan, Thompson, Milligan etc might be unavailable if selected?

Re: Adeleiade United v Central Coast Mariners

As sh*t as our backline is, it doesn't help that we rarely have any midfielders helping them out.

Half the time it's the opposition attackers running freely at our back 4 without a pressure in the world.

Re: Have we lost the city?

Well considering the complete lack of community and fan involvement initiated by the club, it's bound to happen. West Sydney are doing so well because their owners care and make genuine attempts to get the public on it's side. Of course good football helps, but our owners are more than happy to sit ...

Problem with the final is all members have to re buy tickets. You'd hope we'd get at least 10k but hoping we get Sydney which would probably sell out.

Re: Reds' elimination final Sunday 7 April 7 at 4.30pm?

They better get their act together getting the pitch fixed. We might be playing Sydney FC and we don't want to give the FFA any incentive to take our home advantage away.

I can't see it happening but you just never know.

Re: Adelaide United v Newcastle Jets Match Day Jamboree!!!

Supsup - by main refs I mean at least the referee running around on the park needs to be full time. The linesmen - although sometimes just as important - you could probably get away with having part timers (except last night it was linesmen who changed the game!!). Anyway, our refs need a lot more t...

Re: Adelaide United v Newcastle Jets Match Day Jamboree!!!

Huge definitely deserves to be captain - he has been an absolute legend for Adelaide United. I just think an outfield player would be more productive for the team. Have someone who can rile up the opposition, gee up our boys when they are down etc. There's only so much Huge can do from 50m away, iso...

Re: Adelaide United v Newcastle Jets Match Day Jamboree!!!

Yeah there were some iffy decisions. I thought the linesmen were supposed to give the benefit of any doubt they have to the attacker?

Anyways, next year, I think it's crucial that A-League referees are full time. Maybe not every referee but at least the main ones.

Re: Adelaide United v Newcastle Jets Match Day Jamboree!!!

Eh he could probably be given the benefit of the doubt, but Newcastle had a bad run with the refs too. And I don't think we deserved to win, was a terrible performance apart from Cassio and Carrusca. Just on the latter - anyone hear anymore about his injury? I saw him pull up lame after his run down...
