Re: Adelaide United v Melbourne Victory Match Day Jamboree!!!©

Great crowd and good atmosphere. The Red Army haven't stopped singing all half. Good to see so many families.
Now all United have to do is reward the crowd with a few more goals.

Re: Preview: Adelaide United-Melbourne Victory -14.01.23

Looking forward to this one, so much history. Two desperate teams. It’s down to the coaches, they both have a bit to prove. Popovic hasn’t suddenly become a bad coach. His ridiculous “fans” have obviously affected him and his team. As there is no immediate threat of point deduction, we may see a dif...

Re: Central Coast Mariners v Adelaide United Match Day Jamboree!!!©

One that got away. Perhaps I’m reading too much into this but wasn’t Brian Kaltak (CCM centre back) at FK Beograd when Damian Mori was coach? How was he overlooked as a potential United signing? Perhaps with Barr, Popovic and Warland and Ansell it was considered to be enough.

Re: Central Coast Mariners v Adelaide United Match Day Jamboree!!!©

I was disappointed with the substitutions when they arrived. Obviously the game was over by then but would the introduction of D’arrigo, Ansell, Carvalho and Blackwood made the slightest difference if they had come on after the red card? None of them are gamechangers. (Blackwood has been occasionall...

Did anybody see Nestory’s absolute screamer in the warm up pre-game? To say he was overjoyed would be an understatement.

Re: Adelaide United v Perth Glory Match Day Jamboree!!!©

It was worth the extra ten dollars for the view of the entire pitch. I’m not too good with guessing the action that’s 100 metres away. But I have paid up my membership and Paramount+ in instalments. I don’t know what the cost is for a single game. So an extra 10 bucks doesn’t seem excessive. But it ...

Re: Adelaide United v Perth Glory Match Day Jamboree!!!©

First trip of the season to Coopers for me. I decided to get a $10 dollar upgrade to sit in new stand near half-way line. It used to be my usual spot as you get a better view of what’s going on. The PA was very loud, I thought I was a disco after the full-time whistle (that shows how old I am). Juan...

Re: A-League Men 2022/23

I think Piet van de Pol needs to have a stern word with the APL. How could they use his name (now deleted) on the original declaration of this farce. Time to call the lawyers.

Re: Who's signed for next season

My fear is that our top two players (Goodwin and Halloran) are going to get frustrated by the quality of their teammates. They are both talented players approaching their final years. Surely they’d want to go out with a bang and not a whimper. Our recruitment has been lazy this season. CV has put lo...

Re: Wellington Phoenix v Adelaide United Match Day Jamboree!!!©

This reminded me of our first game last season away to Perth. Totally dominated possession then but only came away with a point. We looked threatening throughout and our corner count of eighteen to one says it all. It would have been a completely different outcome if Hiroshi had been leading the att...

Re: Adelaide United vs Brisbane Roar Australia Cup Match Day Jamboree!!!©

I would have liked to have seen a post-match press conference with CV. It’s obvious that the powers that be don’t take this competition too seriously. VAR should also be available when we get to the pointy end of the competition. There is a spot in Asia for the winner, and if that happens to be a no...

Re: Fourth place

CV just has to pick an initial eleven players who can last 75 minutes at a blistering pace. Then all he has to do is bring on our super subs to finish the game off. So probably not the game to start with Yengi, Bernardo, Cavallo or Darrigo.
