What now for A-league with no Aussie world cup?

This subject has been all over other footbal forums, however it seems mainly pre pubescent children are the only people that have an oppinon judging by the quality of posts elsewhere. So, We have no aussie world cup, which is a set back, how will the A-league react? will it fold? Can the FFA now pou...

Re: Round 17: Melbourne Victory v Brisbane Roar

Melbourne just wont help AU out no matter the stakes!

There a long way to go in the season yet, im expecting them to have a couple of loses to lower ranked sides b4 the season is out.

How good was it though to see a bad decision called against MV for once

Quote: Cup bid a world class scandal Rebecca Wilson From: The Daily Telegraph December 04, 2010 IT IS the greatest sporting scandal in the history of this country - a folly aimed purely at the gratification of a few egos that cost Australian taxpayers $45 million. The failed World Cup soccer bid fo...

Re: Australia's World Cup 2022 Bid

Im still unsure how they got around not having multiple cities for the bid, i thought that was a FIFA requirement, or when they say requirement do they mean "guidline unless you got the cash" -No pork -No alcolhol anywhere apart from internation hotels. -Women are expected to be covered up -ANY NON ...

Re: Australia's World Cup 2022 Bid

does anyone else feel that although these stadiums are amazing, its just not what the world cup is about. Playing a Cup final at say wembley, or the MCG or where ever else that already have years and years of history to me means more then a diamond encrusted stadium that will be dismantled a year la...

Re: Australia's World Cup 2022 Bid

I dont think people are whinging because we lost, I honestly expected the US to win. But Qatar winning has thrown alot of people off and no one can really understand why they won, Does anyone else find it strange Japan actually lost a vote in the 2nd round? either someone had a change of heart, or t...

Re: Australia's World Cup 2022 Bid

There is going to be some VERY interesting stories to coe through the media in the next few months, this wont go away for a long long time. Not to sound like a sore loser, but if we got 1 vote, and were beaten by Korea then something is very fishy! How could the US not of even been close to winning!?

Re: Australia's World Cup 2022 Bid

QATAR .... yeah.... Im unsure how Qatar world cup will benifit the game, Its a country of barely 1 million, so even if this country becomes football crazy it does didly for the game .. 50 plus degrees in the summer, great they will aircondition the stadiums, what about everywhere else? Apparently th...

Re: have "RESPECT FOR ONEANOTHER"

As I'm not a northern end man 'cause I watch from the western stand. I've been an avid Reds man since its inception in 2003 and know nothing of what you speak, I must abmit that it baffles me why any person within Hindmarsh would give s hit to anyone else - just too much of an ol' fart who realises...

Re: Away Travel vs. Melbourne Victory

Are you just hiring a bus,or booking a driver and bus ? Reason i ask is if one of you guys are driving, to be completely legit would need your LP liscnese to cover yourselves. (meaning legally you are allowed to carry up to 70ish passengers) Im sure you have looked into it, but just thought id ask

Re: "Key Reds playmaker Flores in demand" - Will he leave?

i he is our aussie marquee, when he re-signed we were under FFA rule, and supposedly only using the minimum 85% salary cap for this season, so i am not sure why they would even bother listing a marquee when we are already well below the cap

Re: Nathan Burns

Good on him,

Just another young promising player for the future that we supposedly lack.

I dont understand when people havnt heard of a certain player for a while it means they have been a flop. The guy has clearly put the hard yards in there and its paid off for him
