Re: Adelaide United v Newcastle Jets Match Day Jamboree!!!©

Sorely missed Jeggo. Really lacked that midfield pressure.

However, I'm willing to give Mells and Mauk time as Jeggo was heaps average when he first came to us.
Mells was okay and threw in a couple of nice attacking passes, but like the rest of the team was not really there either.

Re: Adelaide United v Newcastle Jets Match Day Jamboree!!!©

We won, that is the positive. Elsey does not know how to play RB, perhaps McGowan who has played there in Scotland (perhaps not particularly well) could have played there, or just start Marrone. Cirio needs some game time, he missed a couple of balls late in the game he usually would collect. La Roc...

Re: Adelaide United v Newcastle Jets Match Day Jamboree!!!©

Harper does not understand offside rule (neither did I for a moment), seems to love Leonardo for not real reason and does not like Mells and his commentary was totally biased.

Re: Adelaide United v Newcastle Jets Match Day Jamboree!!!©

Marrone on for elsey asap.
Mauk on for mells soon.
Cirio on for Pablo later.
Pablo or Goodwin, both have done a couple of good things but not contributed enough.

Djite should get 90 minutes.

Re: Adelaide United v Newcastle Jets Match Day Jamboree!!!©

We started to show some urgency towards the end there. We need that approach for 45 minutes, not 10.
I think them almost scoring from that scramble woke us up a bit.

Re: Adelaide United v Newcastle Jets Match Day Jamboree!!!©

Doesn't matter if he was past the last defender, because he was level with/behind the ball as it was played.

Suck it, Andy Harper
I did not think to look at whether he was behind the ball but he certainly could have been.

Re: Adelaide United v Newcastle Jets Match Day Jamboree!!!©

Elsey is struggling to know where he has to be. He trying to get forward but then a couple of times has just stayed standing there watching the play and been badly caught out of position. He needs to learn how to play RB.
Marrone is needed.

Unchanged starting line up.
Dugandzic on the bench ahead of Kamau I disagree with.

inb4 Djite given a two year contract extension and elevated to marquee status
Please never write that again, such talk will have me waking up in the middle of the night screaming with a nightmare. I am shaking now at the thought.

We can take them all, apart from Victory away, I am confident we can win them all. We won't win them all but no reason to doubt our ability.

Re: Preview: AUFC v Newcastle 31/01/01

When we win this match we will have 26 points after 17 rounds and we are in great form.
Last season we had 30 points after 17 rounds, our form was not great in the last part of the season.

We are on track to do better than last season.

Re: How can the Red Army be improved?

Any changes need to be motivated by the membership itself. Fans on the outside have no business interfering. A fan attending a game should be gaining enjoyment from the the game and should not need to rely on the actions of other fans to help them enjoy the game. Anything that does occur should be ...
