Re: Adelaide United v WS Wanderers Match Day Jamboree!!!©

It's time to turn Coopers into a noisy, hellish cauldron of unpleasantness for the Wallys, with a nice, big, hostile Coopers crowd. A nice big win for us could well be the coach-killer for Babbel - which would in truth be a shame, because the coach is not the problem for them. The board of the Wally...

Re: Preview: Melbourne City v AUFC 09/02/19

I actually expect JMac to tear us a new one. They're under the pump as they were last time we played them, we will need to be at our best. He is the most over-rated striker in the league - he was invisible in the Asian Cup, when his country needed him most. I can't recall which match it was, but th...

Re: Preview: Melbourne City v AUFC 09/02/19

The East Adelaide Second XI are falling apart. Joyce has lost the dressing room and its only moments of individual excellence that keeps them ticking over ... if memory serves they have only won one of their last 6 matches ...? Their squad depth is wafer thin and the Fornaroli catastrophe means that...

Re: Who's signed for next season

So we've lost out on Fornaroli and it's all gone very quiet around Daniel Adlung. We still don't even know if the gaffer will be offered a new contract and the Meow are apparently keen to sign him.

What is the ownership group doing?

Re: Preview: Adelaide United v Brisbane Roar -- 02.02.19

If any game this season had "comfortable win' written all over it, it's this one. If we can't beat the Meow by at least 2 sausage rolls on Saturday night at Coopers, then we don't deserve a top six spot. The Meow is the worst team in the competition; even worse than the Central Toast, which is sayin...

Re: Who's signed for next season

Rumour #1 .... the ownership group has offered $1m/year to Bruno Fornaroli .... which I think is (a) old news and (b) requires CFG to be cooperative, which of course they never are; Rumour #2 .... Marco is in comms with Daniel Adlung, who is receptive to a return to the AUFC and the A-league, now th...

Re: Preview: Perth Glory v AUFC 23/01/19

I'm actually feeling quite confident about this one. We looked much the better team for most of the match when they played at Coopers and it was only two late errors that cost us. We've a wiser, more integrated back line now. It would be nice to be only the second team to beat the Shame on their own...

Re: Adelaide United v Melbourne Victory Match Day Jamboree!!!©

Reading the filth's own forums, they are finally realising how dependent they are on Honda to make things happen for them. There were plenty of passengers in dark blue last night and their fans are beginning to realise that they are not so good as their ladder position would suggest; I suspect that ...

Re: WATRs Player of the 2018/19 Season - HAL R12

Evans did fine - seemed fairly even officiating to me. I want to give every player a point. Huge efforts all round. Probably the most egregious example - among many - was not giving a second yellow card to Corey Brown, for hacking down Ryan Strain, mid-second half. The entire stadium could see that...

Re: WATRs Player of the 2018/19 Season - HAL R12

A more perfect first half? It could only have been bettered if Goody's chance right at the end of extra time had gone in ... if he had used his head instead of flinging a boot at it, we would have been 3 - 0 up at halftime over the filth. That is nitpicking though; it was an incredible performance ...

Re: Adelaide United v Melbourne Victory Match Day Jamboree!!!©

On paper this should be a walkover by the filth, but I'm really not so sure that it will be. They lack Honda and Honda is their X-factor. We were all over them for at least 3/4 of the match in Crimebourne and we only lost it in the last 15 minutes; the filth hardly touched the ball in the first half...

Not at all confident. On the current form of both sides, we go down 2 -1 or even 3 -1.

Re: Preview: AUFC vs Nix 05/01/2019

They mentioned during the game that one of the players (I forget who, maybe Regan) came over to the bench to tell them that half of them were done physically (although in much more colourful terms), with Mileusnic being one of those. So yeah hopefully just the short turn around in very hot weather ...

... which just proves the theory that the Big Two bully boy clubs get the easiest possible ride from the referees, getting twice as many penalties as any other club. Bloody depressing.

Thanks for the research anyway, UP.

Re: Penalties awarded to the AUFC

Redtide, If you head to the transfermarkt website they have all that information available on their stats pages albeit seperately, here are a few interesting HAL only stats- 18/19 AUFC 1 penalty awarded (1 converted) 1 penalty conceded 17/18 1 penalty awarded (1 converted) 10 penalties conceded (5 ...
