Re: Reds v MV pre-match thread
makes perfect sense to have both serg and bruce out of the squad currently Seriously ? Why wouldn't you want to give yourself that extra option on the bench of either a proven hold up guy if you're leading late in the game or a proven goal scorer if you're a goal down ??? Makes no sense whatsoever ...

Re: Socceroos v Iraq
I think it's time for radical tactics like shooting when the ball is in playing distance in the 6 yard box

Re: Not really feeling it
Not a fan of any of the recent left back options. But to be fair, Mckay has done the job there before. Holger makes some strange decisions. But I'd still rather him than the 4-3-3 über alles nuts running everything else in the national system. PS. where is Kennedy? Is he not fit? PPS. Dislike Archie...

Re: Time to bring back Hindmarsh glory days
Next home game is 5pm Saturday - hopefully that is better for everyone. Will reserve judgment on the crowd until then. We go over 10k to the ACL QF a moth ago so I'm not entirely convinced the crowd is boycotting, I think it's just weather & timing. It's not as dire as made out. We'll see when the ...

Re: Time to bring back Hindmarsh glory days
Adelaide United fans have put up with a hell of a lot over the years and then they had the majority of the recognisable parts of the club (on and off the field) pissed away on the whim of an incompetent Dutch madman. The club burnt the good will of ~1/3 of the rusted on fans last year. They're going...

Re: Teeboy advised not to play contact sport
We shouldn't speculate about it in my opinion, but I think he's got strains of Hepatitis C [less harmful than Hep B]. It comes in varying forms, and attacks the liver primarily. Makes one lethargic, which could partly explain why his attitude (apparently) to training and turning up was so-so. Hepat...

Re: Teeboy advised not to play contact sport
My baseless and inappropriate speculation is that he has sickle-cell anaemia. which can be triggered by stressful exercise and temperature extremes (like those faced by a professional athlete,) and contact sport is a huge risk factor.

Re: Newcastle Jets v Adelaide United Match Day Jamboree!!!©
One worrying thing from the match - so many long balls (63 in total). For a team who was supposed to be playing out from the back, it wasn't really evident. I guess it was because we were tired but I don't want to see it next week. We dominated in the preseason with this strat so would be silly to ...

Re: Newcastle Jets v Adelaide United Match Day Jamboree!!!©
The strained effort to correctly accentuate every vowel in "Alessandro Del Piero" followed immediately by an ambivalent butchering of Shinji Ono's name amuses me every time. Love the look of that bench!!! Also Watson, Vido, Malik midfield looks schmicko!! Kinda glad Barbs got suspended lol. Barbiero...

Re: Newcastle v AUFC
Personally, I think serving post-elimination bans in the domestic league is an elegant solution.
It sucks that there was no notice, but if this is the law of the land for all from now on, I won't complain.
