Re: Adelaide United v Melbourne Victory Match Day Jamboree!!!©

One of the GREAT nights at Coopers! What a crowd! What a performance! Football is back. As someone already said, not a weak link. Bustling, energetic and classy debut from Richie's boy! Hiro is a Reds legend already. He looked half-dead when subbed off. And that header!!!!!!!!! Even from the Norther...

Re: Sydney FC v Adelaide United Match Day Jamboree!!!©

It's great that Hiro's card has been rescinded. Maybe there is someone in charge who has eyes! Watching the games over the weekend was enough to make me consider whether I want to continue watching at all. Insane decision robs us of a decent chance to grab three points away. Maybe we would have and ...

Re: Australia Cup 2022

SU58 fans have turned up in huge numbers which is great to see but some of the things I've seen on twitter from the fans are just pathetic. Nazi salutes, throwing bottles on the pitch. Not sure we need another club with fans like this in the league. On the other hand we have a plastic Macarthur tea...

Re: Adelaide United vs Brisbane Roar Australia Cup Match Day Jamboree!!!©

Isa stepped up in the second half but too late. He's not the player he was and D'Arrigo isn't the player we hoped he'd become. Without a really competent and aggressive DM we won't win many. Poppa had a very bad night but he's been brilliant before. Cut him some slack. Halloran was also really off t...

Re: Membership renewal/options

Yep, I'm with you, Otto. Always a 'top tier on the halfway line' fan. Makes me feel like I understand the game!! :)
This reserved seating bullshit is making me decide to stay at the Northern end. I prefer to annoy different neighbours each week.

Re: Adelaide City v Adelaide United Australia Cup Match Day Jamboree!!!©

Am I wrong or was Clough not playing as a 10 last night? He was on the wing and it didn't suit him. Mind you, he scored and AC certainly targeted him, so they must think he's the goods!

I'll be there. I want it to be 8-0 but I think it'll be more like 4-2. Our way of course! :)

Re: Who's signed for next season

I'd welcome Ben back in a heartbeat. Genuine class and a team player. And that's where I see we might have a little bit of an issue. I think Carl doesn't like young players who get above themselves and who don't have the Whyalla work ethic. They destabilise other young players and they don't produce...

Re: Who's signed for next season

Lopez was close to my player of the season. Another year is a good thing. Hopefully he can keep the standard up. Jaunde is a 50-50. he played some good stuff and it could be said he outdid Isaias, who has really dropped off. We're still looking for a DM who can replace at least one of them. D'Arrigo...

Re: Adelaide United v Brisbane Roar Match Day Jamboree!!!©

Good win, but taking Brook and Hiro off changed the whole game and made us very vulnerable.
I cannot understand subbing Brook in this one (and some others). He covers an amazing amount of ground and gets closer and closer to a result. Heart-breaking that his tap-in was ruled out.

Re: Sydney FC v Adelaide United Match day Jamboree!!!©

Yeah, without a doubt, CV has proven that he has the smarts and the motivational technique to get a well-beyond-expectations result from this team. It's been a weird season and most teams have been up and down but AU have been hit hard, played a lot of games, lost great players and managed a bunch o...

Re: Who's signed for next season

If he can go to a club that serious develops young players - and he can pull his head in and learn - he'll be ok. The truth is that Australian football has no discernible development path at present, barring the incredible efforts of clubs like our own.

Re: Adelaide United v Macarthur FC Match Day Jamboree!!!©

Did anyone watching on TV see the foul clearly on Caletti in the first half. We were in the Northern Stand but it looked like a clear foul to us. Could have been a red. Was given nothing. Cavallo had a couple of bad moments in the first half but he had some bloody sublime moments in the second. Thou...

Nah! Sit with us plebs. The haters gonna hate.
Ingore Jessesdad and the rest of the ham sandwich eating, Cabernet Sauvignon guzzling riff raff. Come and enjoy the prawn sandwiches and Chardonnay in the Western Stand.
I resemble that!!
