Re: Manchester United
Funny thing is I don't think Barca even played exceptionally well by their own lofty standards - they've been pulling teams apart like that for a couple of seasons now, absolutely a notch above everyone else - watch their 5-0 demolition of Real Madrid... But to do that in the CL final against ManU -...

Re: Socceroos squad
Stuckster, The Tiser is shit, no doubt. But in terms of coverage of the local A-League team it's probably the best in the land. Which may not be such a feat, but credit where credit is due (and tbh I couldn't be bothered reading 4-5 stories about what each player had for breakfast, fuck knows who ha...

Re: Independent research on the A-League - Survey
Done Good survey dude, some of the questions are worded a little bit strangely though which made it a bit hard to work out what you were trying to ask (e.g. the questions about whether you can afford to 'follow the team' - no idea whether that meant going to away games, going to home games, watching...

Re: Your impression of Adelaide United?
So working class? The Crows were the state's team for 7 years till Port came along... I reckon Adelaide United bridges the 'class divide' pretty successfully.. you see Utd stickers on everything from utes & tradie vans to BMWs, in the outer suburbs & the inner city. If another team came in I think ...

So long Pantsman, thanks for the memories and good luck with the Nix - I think he's still got plenty to offer at this level.

some more info http://www.foxsports.com.au/football/a-league/football-federation-australia-to-cut-back-on-draining-midweek-games-in-new-a-league-season/story-e6frf4gl-1226046111944 The midweek games were good for tv, but drew small attendances so this is probably a good idea. It will be the flagship website for football in SA, and offer training and employment opportunities and superior client care in a world class environment. I don't care if you liked the old one better.

Re: A-League Fixtures
On the other hand, if melbourne had 2 AU fixtures at AAMI park id very happily attend both and be content with our one home game, IMO most diehards probably would feel the same Maybe it means I'm not a diehard but I can't really justify interstate away trips (although this year I will try to get to...
