Re: Who's signed for next season
Whilst i would have liked to see Troisi at the club, i think the club may actually find a player better suited to the club. I actually believe this is Troisi's Loss and not that of Adelaide United's. As a player would you not just look at the dollars but also what playing under and learning from a ...

Re: Who's signed for next season
I cannot see any point at all in signing Portaloo. He is at the end of his career. He plays as a DM and we have the best player in the league playing there and capable cover in Mells and Larocca. We don't need him as a CB as we have enough depth their, he would ultimately take a spot in the squad th...

Re: Who's signed for next season
wouldn't be surprised to see us play with 3 at the back next season, it's part of the "Barca" DNA and Amor has spoken about it in an interview once or twice.
Gombau was working on it a bit to when he was here.

Re: Who's signed for next season
I think you just have to look at where a player is playing to work out how good they are. Cahill is playing in the CSL (barely) and before that was in the MLS. I would much rather someone playing regularly in Segunda or La Liga than a CSL or MLS player. so you wouldn't take Villa or Giovinco over a...

Re: AUFC 2016 NPL Season
Its ridiculous that a 3rd marquee is being discussed when club's like AU aren't even signing their full quota of players and stars like Ruon can't get a contract. AU said they wanted to sign him :? That's true. I'd imagine that the youth players would be the last priority so Ruon didn't want to wai...

Re: Who's signed for next season
Holy hell, he would be (along with Isaias) the toughest player to replace in the whole squad. Please stay, Brucie! disagree, there are plenty of big aussie strikers with a mediocre strike rate getting around. the only aspect that would really need replacing is his persona around the club, he seems ...

Re: Who's signed for next season
I'd take Troisi in a heartbeat, the bloke is a level above the HAL and any club would be better off with him in the team. Won't have any trouble finding a home in the HAL.
If the club sells enough 3 year membership deals they might be able to afford him.

Re: Who's signed for next season
I'd be happy to have a punt on Hoole if he was cheap enough and had the right attitude. Let Dugandzic go and let Hoole have his spot on the list if the coaching staff don't rate our youth enough to step up.

Re: Who's signed for next season
I had high hopes for Melling when he came into the AU team a few years back, his effort is second to none but from what i can see he hasn't developed in the thinking bit. Wouldn't suit our game play and i doubt he will have a long career in the HAL anywhere tbh. Would much rather keep working on Mel...

Re: Who's signed for next season
From FN: "McGowan has signed with a buy-out clause for any overtures from overseas clubs. Garruccio on his way." Those who know the forum better will be able to tell me if credible. a lot of people with deep connections within SA football on there but also a lot talking complete shit. so to summari...

Re: 2016/17 Memberships
got an email from the club telling me that my auto renew 9 game membership would be happening soon.
funny enough i never had a 9 game membership last season and didn't tick the auto renew option either.
one way to get the numbers up i suppose.

Re: The AUFC group?
Depends on who you ask.The Marveggios are good people.
I have never met them myself and aren't passing judgment on them, just know someone who has a rather different opinion on them.
