Re: AFF Suzuki Cup
Philippines just defeated Vietnam 2-0 for the biggest upset in the history of the cup. Singapore and Vietnam now face off, with the loser to go out of the comp at the group stage. Philippines need just a draw against group whipping boys Myanmar to go through. This is a great result for the Philippin...

AFF Suzuki Cup
Is in full swing at the moment, with some very interesting results.... Indonesia hammered Malaysia 5-1 the other night, though ironically the Malaysians didn't look that bad. Cambodia will be spitting that it didn't get through to the finals as it went out on goal difference to both Philippines and ...

Re: Australia's World Cup 2022 Bid
Whatever the rationale for the vote the fact remains that 2022 will be in Qatar. The Middle East is an intensely interesting place to visit, so I am hoping that the region adopts this bid as whilst the region offers a kaleidoscope of experiences, Doha is rather staid. Good for a few days however tha...

Re: Australia's World Cup 2022 Bid
I'm hoping for Russia 2018, sounds like a great excuse to visit. The damn result has been delayed which is annoying, 15 minutes late now.....

Re: Podcasts
a good fun one is World Football Weekly done by the 4 Diegos, I think it can be found on the ABC site as we get it here on Radio Australia. I love their 'sad coaching moments' such as "we lose on the road, we lose at home; my problem as a coach is I can't think of anywhere else to play."

Re: El Clasico - 29/11/2010
Wow, a shitty time to watch football in Cambodia (got up at 4am to catch the second half) however what a football clinic put on by Barcelona. I still find Puyol bit of a primadonna, however watching Alonso & Messi weave their magic was truly worth getting up for.

The Young Guns
The instant European success of Nagatomo, Uchida and most notably Kagawa has raised interest in the younger Japanese brigade. There is talk that Okazaki is on Stuttgart's radar (not the most prolific striker in the J-League however in internationals he is unstoppable) and 17y.o. sensation Miyaichi w...
