Re: AU have taken control of Enfield
This needs to be handled diplomatically. The key for me is that it provides more links and possibilities for kids from SA to play for AUFC. I see this through 2 primary benefits: (i) players being developed using a philosophy that fits with Adelaide's playing style, and hence making them better suit...

Re: WCQ Asia - Group B
I've been keeping half an eye on the Uzbeks for years. They really struggle to perform at home and I cannot help but wonder if it would be a good idea for them to play a home game in Samarkand or Namangan as they always seem to put themselves under pressure in Tashkent. Weird thing about being the P...

Re: WCQ Asia - Group B
Well will you look at that! Jordan thru 9-8 on penalties! I watched the game. It went to extra-time, and in extra-time the lights went out for 18 minutes. Hence I started watching 10pm Philippines time and by the time they lined up for the penalties it was 1:10am.....and Star Sports switched their ...

Re: 2013/14 Hyundai A-League draw
Looking ahead I think I'll be in town for the Wanderers game in January. Last year I had work in Adelaide for the Victory game. Looks like my timing remains as impecible as ever

Re: Matt Thompson to AUFC
We're going to be playing 3-6-1 at this rate.I just think our midfield is already stacked to the ceiling.

Re: WATRs team of the decade - Strikers
Ah, the old combo of "Can you Hear the Drums" and "Right On".... a pity Qu carried that injury for so long. Was it an ankle? Can't rightly remember however he was class when fully fit. Still, fitness and longevity are considerations (sorry Romario, you fail on both counts). Bruce is a hard one to ju...

I believe he was behind the move to Summer football and the attempts to make football appeal to a broader fan base

Re: WCQ Asia - Group B
Jordan hosted Uzbekistan on Saturday night for the 5th place play-off and the game was shown live here in the Philippines. Uzbekistan quite frankly dominated and Jordan were lucky to leave with a 1-1 draw. Jordan don't travel well and with the form the White Wolves are in I can't see anything but an...

Re: Red Centre
I would love to see us go one step further. We could have the shoulders or a strip on the front of our shirts sporting art work from the Pitjantjatjara lands which cross the SA-NT border. The art work itself could be in yellow to fit with the club colours. It would go far to differentiate our club a...

Red Centre
We have strengthened our links with the NT (at least the drier parts of it) and looks like we're the team for everyone from Groote Eylandt to Mt Gambier. http://au.fourfourtwo.com/news/281381,adelaide-seals-red-centre-deal.aspx This is rather exciting and hopefully leads to our involvement in indige...

Re: Let the Cup Runneth
To be fair they do have around 48 prefectures. It better be an actual cup comp (within reason) and not the Japanese method of only having one team per state qualify to play the big guys and claiming you have some giant cup as a result.
