Re: Al Shabab claim Michael Owen deal is close
The Bahraini, Kuwaiti, UAE or Saudi version of Al Shabab? I am assuming the UAE version as the first two probably don't have the cash and the Saudi version doesn't sound like much fun.

Re: Now Yakubu is going to China!
Guangzhou are making a play for the ACL. It will all go horribly wrong if they don't have the supporting cast of Chinese.

Re: Troisi to Juventus via Pescara
So he is good enough to sign for Juventus one of the biggest and best clubs on the planet, yet can't even get into the socceroos squad? Does that tell us something or what! Someone mentioned to me he was carrying a niggling injury at the time. A great move though and I really hope he makes and impr...

Re: Van Dijk Want's Out
I am not so pleased however if it is a matter of wanting to go back to Europe and not move within the A-League then fair enough.
It may be worth his time looking at the Middle East if he wants to be a short flight back to the Netherlands.

Global Booters
I am in Manila at the moment and this morning opened the paper to peruse the sports section only to discover that the top of the league in the Philippines is being occupied by "Global Booters" Say what you like about A-League names however compared to these boys we are amateurs, amateurs I tel...

Re: ACL Quarter Final
Damn. Well, the club had better think of something. Apparently they will 'leave no stone unturned' preparation-wise. Heading down to Novar Gardens for a hit out with Birkalla or Galaxy will not cut it. Much depends on the cost of the doing a pre-season overseas. Thailand has some good local sides (...

Re: Socceroos V Japan
Japan and Australia both played well. The ref had a shocker though at least he was consistently woeful! Can't claim bias, there were odd decisions all over the park. I thought Ogenovski had a great game last night as did Kawashima who really pulled off some good saves. In all an exciting game and on...
