Re: My match ratings
How can you give most of the team 7s and 8s when we lost & played so one-dimensionally? Methinks you may have to be a little bit harsher in your ratings. Because despite the result I felt we played some of the best football we’ve played since our unbeaten run earlier in the year, with the possible ...

Birra 7 Nothing spectacular but did what he had to do pretty well I thought. Not at fault for the goal – just a good finish by Solorzano. Impressed with his handling of crosses – reached the ball every time he came for it to effect a catch or punch. Watson 8 Another good game from the fill in RB, su...

Re: Vs Melbourne victory lead up.
apparently hughes is in doubt with a back injury and boogard with an ankle injury!!! I did wonder about Boogard - he looked a bit proppy when he went off. Oh well, looks like the new boys are going to get their first taste of a Reds v Tards hatefest in their first game. Welcome to the A-League guys !

Re: Vs Melbourne victory lead up.
Boogs to LB and Robbie to partner Fyfe. I wouldn't be risking Hughes at FB again - he struggled at RB earlier in the year. I think he could play CB in an emergency but that's it. Barbs probably did enough to earn a start in Flores' spot but Rini may be tempted to throw his new stars in right away. I...

Re: Keenan - broken leg
All the best to Joe for a speedy recovery. If he shows half the guts and determination that he showed in a red shirt for us then he will be back. Unfortunately, given his contract status, that return is unlikely to be for United. But if he returns to Hindmarsh with another team down the track, I for...

Re: Season Ticket idea for next season
Just for the record people, I do pay for the season ticket in installments, which I think is also a good idea. As for the idea of putting money away for myself rather than the club taking up my idea, I don't know how disciplined you are but when you have a family to look after and are the only brea...

Re: My match ratings
"Typical pantelis" give him a break . It just seems to me that Lucas has been all effort with no result this season. He will take on a player and beat him and then put over a crappy cross, or bust a gut to get on the end of something and then put it into the stands. He was leading scorer last seaso...

Broich is their "Flores" - fingers crossed he doesn't make a lightning recovery or that it's all mind games from Ange.

And that's the key - if you're not in the Chappell Stands then the atmosphere is completely naff.Sat in the Chappelle stands and the chanting was awesome when it took off. .
I had friends in other parts of the ground that said they may as well have been at the cricket.

Birra 7 A clean sheet and a mostly tidy display for the young deputy keeper, but the one decent save he was asked to make (from a Shannon Cole free kick) was cancelled out by the near disaster when he fumbled a shot that he should’ve easily dealt with. Watson 8 A very solid display from young Watto ...

Re: Adelaide United @ Adelaide Oval
So we got 16,400. Its a pretty disappointing crowd but it is the best crowd we have had since the 2008/09 season. I think we should wait till the MV match before pulling the plug on AO but if we get a similar crowd to the MV game should we forget about it? I think one or two games are good i just t...

yellowshould be red not green.Have to say it looks bloody good with coopers on there. But how do you think it would look in green on the black away shirt? I reckon it would look classy

Re: How "mainstream" is Adelaide United - or solid support?
Define they? AFL/NRL supporting, true blue, dinkie die aussies from days gone by who dismissed our sport as a game for "sheilas, wogs and poofters" - as described by the late, great Johnny Warren in his book of the same name. Mate that might be true of the past, but lets not forget, we need to be b...
