Re: Rd 6: AUFC v BNE 11-11-16

There is no need for personal attacks on Grant. If you have a beef with him, be grown up enough to say that to him personally on twitter so he's able to respond. Fair do's, I have anger within and experience working in the Public Service made me say things about Mayer that were uncalled for. So, as...

Re: Rd 6: AUFC v BNE 11-11-16

The difference between Makarounnas and Mauk is massive. Such as Maka has produced SFA at the Glory and Victory before AU, at AU he is pretty much doing what I have seen him do at bothclubs before, SFA. He is a squad filler signing at best, like at least 2-3 others were. I find it laughabe that Gran...

Re: Rd 2: AUFC v WSW 14-10-16

Everything from east coast media seems to be about the melbourne derby which is going to be huge. Its just a shame they completly ignore a packed hindmarsh hosting the grandfinal replay. Lets hope we see a performance where movement is more fluid and guardiola can get on the ball and show us what h...

Re: Predictions for the 2016/17 season

Amor will emulate what he spent years doing and follow the Barca philosophy that he grew up in. That is getting young locals to be part of their local team, where no single player makes or breaks the 11. Melbourne city and some Asian mob will try and poach him by offering him much more than United, ...

Re: FFA Cup: Redlands Utd v AUFC

United will win simply because our team has more classy players. Last night Green gully were helped by two wrong calls. CCM should have been 2 goals up at half time, the second goal was a walk through their defence and if CCM had gone in with a two goal lead they just would have shut up shop to sust...

Re: Kamau departure

From that letter it sounds like his family had more say than him, also the lawyer that penned that shows all the nous and loyalty of someone who has no real idea. Bottom line is that at this stage we've got the best coach in Australia and City have still go JVS. That may change, but at this stage I ...

Re: GRAND FINAL Preview: Reds v WSW @ The Oval - 1 May 2016

I sadly aren't going to be able to make it over for the game which is pretty devastating for me but I'll live. Now I need to work out if I risk trying to find somewhere in Melbourne that will show the game over showing Carlton play Essendon at the same time. Or stay at home and watch it with a 6-pa...

Re: Grand Final ticket prices

I think by making the cheapest adult ticked $59, they have brought a potential 50k crowd down to 30k. It's a bit greedy of the FFA I think. As the Fox sports crew said on their A-league podcast, if the FFA is serious about getting a major TV deal, they need to get more people engaged. By pricing so...

Re: Who should be the first Red to get a statue in their hon

Is this a joke? Cassio not in the list? How quickly we forget. But Flakes over Rivaldo would be wonderful! :) Mind you, so would Cassio outjumping every 6'6" striker he ever played against. Has to be Cassio in my book. Thumping the AU badge when he had put in an incredible shift against the Zico co...

Re: Preview: AUFC vs CCM 27/3/16

Unfortunately we have to accept that our state government and the curator of AO have no knowledge of football, They both think that ARF is the be all & end all.
The FFA couldn't give a rats as its all about $$$$ for them. So if we do meet Perth we'll beat them at the oval :)

Pudler in!!!

Probably one of the two ommitted, but still encouraging that he might be more in Amor's plans.
What happened between him & Perth?

Re: (Un)Official Red Army discussion thread

I'm a inaugral member and the " You're shit, ha " for opposition keeper's goal kicks is truly cringe worthy. I just want to curl up in a ball whenever I hear it.

If RA rarely comment or visit this forum why does this thread exist?

Jeggo out? Give mells a run with out fear. Let him play hopefully we can sign him on a long term deal. The kid is quality with a bit of time he will pay dividends. How long can this run last? We are in reach of the top four thats the best we can hope for realistically but lets not get ahead of ours...

Re: Preview: Perth Glory v Adelaide United 9/01/16

Bruce is always 2nd to the ball. If he was sharper he might have had 2 goals already. 23 minute mark - couldn't hit the target from 12 metres out. If he's always second to the ball how did he get possession to shoot? Also played the cf role perfectly to set up that goal. He had a good first half of...

That Bruce thread was started by a kid who probably doesn't remember how Mark Viduka was an important cog in the Socceroos ( I still hate calling them that )team yet rar.ely scored
