I think it's the right time.
He's a legend, played his heart out and I've loved having him here. But it really does seem a case of diminishing returns, and age is against him now - plus don't forget the effect of harder Australian pitches on Euro players.
As Philby said, time to find a young Cirio.

Genuinely had no idea this had been canned, despite visiting here and various other football sites most days. Bizarre.Ok bugger. The old man would have been all over this one.Heard it was cancelled a while back.

Re: Who "will" replace Amor?
It's Val's world, we're just living in it....and the Argentine radio station had read an article, that was copied from an article, that used the Advertiser as its source.Heard from someone who heard from someone (lol) they heard on Argentine radio that Batistuta had signed with us.

Re: Who's signed for next season
This club would be a PR nightmare...if they had anyone in that sort of role. Clearly GG and Grant are happy they have it covered. Got through 90 seconds of that audio before I'd had too much. Amor leaving "came as a shock..." Are you f**king kidding me?! And in the next breath he's "great friends wi...

Yeah, fair play to Tarek - he's putting them on notice.
Sure as Val's drafting an 'article' about someone who played in Italy once, I'll bet he's already had a bollocking from Griffen.

Re: Adelaide U v Jiangsu Suning ACL Match Day Jamboree!!!©
All up, I enjoyed a good game of football last night. Result sucked, season sucked, the uncertainty around the club sucks (and as an Arsenal supporter I'm copping that in stereo at the moment) but I enjoyed last night for what it was. Jeju's result took the edge off so it became a case of 'can we sc...

Just realised 50% of Australia's World Cup finals goal scorers were at Hindmarsh yesterday: Brett Holman, John Aloisi and Craig Moore.

I like having Reegs here.
I can imagine Amor sees the benefits in a Puyol-style player in any team, let alone one that is chronically under-achieving.

Like the kit.
Hate Isa being out.
Actually, I usually really dislike white kits but I'm digging that. Nice one AUFC.

Re: Who should replace Amor?
Rudan? I wouldn't be thrilled with Valkanis back right now, but I also don't think he'd come tbh. He's making his way within the CFG and all power to him - I'd see where that took me if I were in his shoes.

Re: ACL squad announced
Yeah it makes sense but the 3 new boys are a real roll of the dice. With our recent recruiting record having 2 foreign spots filled by players we've never seen in action feels a bit...off.

So Newcastle v MV is postponed due to heat and we're still playing at 7.20pm with a forecast 37 degrees at 6pm? Yeah, sure, why not?
