Re: Coolen was right at something!

Marcos Flores interview with Simon Hill on the FoxSports website seems like the only person in adelaide to be onto Flores was rini! http://www.foxsports.com.au/football/a-league/simon-hill-charts-the-football-journey-of-veteran-melbourne-victory-midfielder-marcos-flores/story-e6frf4gl-1226535143496...

Re: Adelaide United v Melbourne Victory Match Day Jamboree!!

What an awesome evening, for mine, the best ever night at Hindmarsh, the stadium really found its voice for the whole 90 minutes, I wish it was like that every game. Kudos to Kossie, got the tactics spot on in the first half and the lads all deserve a lot credit for following through on those tactic...

Re: Dario a chance for this week

Prefer him showing up Judas when we play MV, too big a risk bringing him on for CCM.
Quoted for accuracy.

Re: Standing section at Hindmarsh

You have standing areas in bars, pubs and clubs. Style it that way - to an extent; take the idea , as opposed to the original images posted. Best bet for a place like Hindmarsh is to rip a few rows out towards the back of one of the bays. You can't really rip out a few rows because the gradiant of ...

Congrats to the lads, but geez, I wish we weren't losing them for critical games for what is a tinpot tourney.

Re: Active Support - Dying At Hindmarsh

It also helps that they have numbers. I honestly think the only way we are going to be able to get active support to grow at Hindmarsh is to allocate the entire Northern Stand as active support, then all you need to do is ask for a Home End ticket and you are in. Great idea, but it would require mu...

Re: AUFC v MVFC- Booing?

I will abuse him remorselessly. I hope everyone does the same for the whole 70 minutes he's out there (let's face it, he won't run out the whole game!)

Re: John Kosmina appreciation thread

I know there are varying opinions out there on Kossie but the results don't lie. When he's had us for a full season he's had us at, or near the top, of the table. In his fourth full season as AUFC coach he looks like doing that again. Success has got to worth more than quibbles about the style.

Re: Reds News | Adelaide United all in for David Beckham

Obviously the financial windfall for the club here would significant, you could probably cover a good deal of the outlay on shirt and ticket sales alone. My concern is how would this upset the team dynamic, would it cause the same problem as when Romario came. The main difference I see is that Beckh...

Re: Active Support - Dying At Hindmarsh

Said gaolbird is not RT, I feel gutted for Phil & the other RT lads for whom it is about supporting the Football & the club first & foremost. The lads that deserted RT to go & play Football Factory I suspect will be spending most of the season outside Hindmarsh on bans & looking for other likeminded...

Re: Active Support - Dying At Hindmarsh

From memory the segregated "supporter bay" is a FFA mandated rule at every club, but the Policing and Security at those over clubs is not so overzealous as to kill off the active support within those bays. In many cases the numbers are such that Police & Security have little option but to "go with t...

Re: Reds history on display

I wonder if the club would be open to loaning items of significants from fans if they had anything interesting. I have a 1.2 metre x 90cm (ish) pencil drawn portrait of bruce djite celebrating a goal in the bianco era. It was done by Jamie Osborne a renowned australian artist and has been signed by...

Re: Reds history on display

Just so you know, we have a budget & display cases are being organised, OR&S and AUFC are helping out in that regard. We only got use of the room in the last week or so, with time we'll turn it into a museum that the club & fans can be proud of.
